Accugreen drop spreader setting accurate
The 11.5 setting for Scotts Accugreen drop spreader initially felt high, but in the end, seemed accurate for the stated 2250 sq ft coverage. Black granules were consistent size, and did end up crushed in the bag, so these were easy to spread. The Accugreen 1000 spreader held the whole bag, but next time I'll do half a bag at a time since the 18 pounds was heavy to turn on the inclines.

My green, quick growing grass makes me mow the lawn more frequently.
I have used some other Anderson products in the past and had good results with them, so I ventured out and tried this and was not disappointed. This was easy to apply with my spreader, the instructions were easy to follow as far as coverage goes. I have noticed my grass coming in greener and longer in less time. This stuff does the trick as I am out more frequently mowing the grass.

My husband likes this brand
Review for Anderson’s Hydra Charge biosolid fertilizer plus surfactant 4-2-0.This is the first time we have gotten this particular product in this brand although we have used similar brands but none are 100% exactly the same. We live near the beach and our lot is mostly sand. After almost three years of fairly hard work by my husband and numerous products used to make our soil better this year our lawn has actually been very nice and with some positive comments from neighbors about how it looks. What I liked about this product is that it contains two surfactants. The black copolymer which is included to help water penetrate into your soil. You might think we wouldn’t need this surfactant since we have mostly sand but while building our home that took over over two and one half years (during Covid) a subcontractor dumped a load of gravel on our front yard (he thought that was where our driveway would be but driveway was on the side of our lot). So even though the gravel was put in the wrong place just about every other sub ended up parking on that graveled area and over those years that graveled area and the surrounding area was so compacted that even after our sod was laid for over a couple of years that area was difficult to green up even with plenty of irrigation. So we have been using surfactants and this is the main reason I ordered this product. We now have that area being reliably green for the first time. The second surfactant - polyacrylamide is supposed to help retain the water which of course is also so good especially when establishing a lawn and even after living here over two years I feel we are still in the establishing stage although thankfully farther down the road to towards completion if that ever really does happen! So this product is helpful to us in this stage and probably my husband will more than likely keep using this product because I think the surfactants have actually been a great benefit to our lawn that is noticeable. He liked the 4-2-0 formulation for our zoysia lawn for hot weather use. I might add that he has used other Anderson lawn products over the past two years and he likes the results he gets from this brand.

The grass got pretty green after applying this.
Photos look to have been taken on 9/9 (Before) & 10/1 (After), so there is not a lot of time between product application and the shots/results. Very impressive, read the details below.Variables & Context:There is a patch of the yard we simply do not water, at all, unless applying additives. This is the area which is shown in photos and used for testing. This kind of replicates a real-life use case for this product in a "close to" worst case scenario, no additional water other than rain. The only variables other than the details below are we have been getting rain pretty often as summer came to an end and we are going into fall. A couple of weeks prior, I used the Dawn trick (Dawn Only) to loosen everything up and make sure my additives penetrate well. We also have a service that comes once a month for the weeds and such. Just so happens, I have not applied any fertilizers or other additives myself for a few weeks now. Just whatever the company is putting down for the weeds, and I'm not even sure they spray over there because I had to treat that area myself in the early summer. So, there is nothing else at play here, especially in this patch.Testing:After receiving this product, I struggled with ideas on how to test it and then I realized we have this patch that gets no water other than from rain. I grabbed my handheld spreader and put a good heavy dose down on this patch only because of course, I was nervous using a new product and I needed to see what happens first. Yes, I was brave and even overapplied it for testing purposes. I also watered well after the application.Result:"Well, what had happened was" lol. I put this stuff down and left it alone other than watering like normal and the lawn looks great there. Grows faster, looks greener thus looks fuller. Seems like something is happening positive that was not prior to application. Quickly as well. Conclusion:You know, the idea of this type of product is great and I am surprised, it is seeming like it's a bit of a secrete still. I know there are other factors to take into account for a healthy lawn, but a product like this is a game changer for me.While I will need to study more about the recommended application rates and so on, more specifically how often I would need to use it, I will be looking into using these products on a larger scale. If that patch now looks like that after using this product, I can only imagine how the rest of the lawn will look after a full application and proper nutrients being applied too... Even more importantly, how much water can be saved once I figure out everything together!I totally recommend this product. Especially if you are familiar with the Dawn tricks or aeration. if you can do that first then apply this product.Tip: Grab your leaf blower and go around the sidewalks and such to blow any product that may have landed there back into the lawn, so you don't waste anything. Works with any additive that's not dusty.Aerating & Dethatching before applying additives (Including overseeding) are also good ideas. Enjoy!!!
