It's a hit!
I was half expecting my girl to not like this entrée given that the rabbit treats she refuses to touch. I will say that she's currently seven months old so she may not have her adult teeth in. Treat which is nibs has a small bone in it. I only found that out rehydrating it.Now the patty is fine for my girl. It has ground, powdered bone in it so it's not bothersome for my girl. She immediately took to eating this and ate most of the serving in one shot. She normally grazes her food and takes entirely too long to eat a 3oz serving of any food. It didn't take long to rehydrate however I sort of cooked it a bit having used boiled water from my kettle. Patty turned into what looked like shreds to me.Originally I presented the patty broken up dry but my girl absolutely refused it that way. It's not a big deal for me as she eats Primal Instinct brand of dehydrated rabbit dry which is given as a kibble topper.Between Vital and Primal, for rehydrating Vital wins. Vital looks like real rabbit to me in that it maintains a pink like color. Rabbit when cooked shouldn't be any shade of deep brown or caramel. Primal adds coloring to their option which isn't he best for any cat. Both options is easy to break apart into smaller pieces. Scent wise, I personally feel that Primal is more fragrant dry. Vital's option was very fragrant when rehydrated. Price point wise, both brands is expensive. It's not the most cost effective. Despite the price my cat seems to be thriving on both options with a shiny, soft coat and extra energy. Also because this a raw product there isn't any gums included in the option. Her bowel movements have been normal log shaped and mild smelling. Wet foods with gums will always cause poor bowels and more smelly one. My girl just so happened to be sensitive to gums so I have noted the differences in her bowels when off gums vs given foods with them.Overall I definitely recommend Vital's freeze dried food. It doesn't have to be served raw as using boiling water or microwaving it cooks it. Either way, this is the closest to a real hunt my girl will ever have in her diet.

My cats are picky
I have 5 cats and they are all picky eaters. So when I had them try it I was nervous that I waisted money again but no they like it. I put one in a dish and add some warm water and let it sit and then break it up it’s gone in a few minutes. It’s to expensive to give them every day so I give it as a treat and adding the water help to make sure they are getting enough water

Tippy is very finicky cat!
I just completed long story. Lost when went back for pictures! Adopted Tippy last Xmas. Turned 3 yrs in May. Had only been given kibble. I know cat’s desperately need wet food for water content. They tend to not drink lots of water but needed to avoid kidney problems they tend to develop. I tried over $200 the first month buying from Amazon the very best canned food. He refused every single brand! Was not eating. I resorted to the freeze dried brand I had fed my Havanese, Sophia for 17 yrs. Correction- I lived in Santa Barbara at the time and could buy the frozen raw. Much less expensive than freeze dried. However Amazon does not sell. I now live in Sacramento.Tippy was thrilled with the freeze dried Pork (one of least expensive and Rabbit ( most expensive)!I was relieved he was eating! However it seemed to be useless for the issue I was concerned about because he would only eat if I broke up into pieces but totally walked away when I added water as it is designed to have. Called the company and was told okay to give dry just be sure he has lots of fresh water. I ordered a fountain. If anyone is considering a fountain do not buy plastic! They hate and is bad for both dogs and cats. He enjoyed this. It has been two months since trying the canned so decided to try again. Same problem! He licks a spoonful of liquid, takes one bite and walks to other side of room where he cleans both paws for 30 min! He always eats every bite of his food with his paws. From picking up in bowl to putting in his mouth. I decided he just hates getting his paws wet!! Likely also because first 2.5 yrs of his life this was never presented to him and he seems to feel it is just WRONG for him to get dirty paws.Has anyone had this problem like this?I must say please read ingredients in this food. I have never found a better or equal quality anywhere. Just if you try be prepared to continue the monthly cost. And if your budget is like mine you will need to split the food budget 50/50 with your cat!!!

My cats like it
My cats like these and they don’t upset their stomach. They’ve tried other ones and they will puke or get diarrhea. My cats are picky eaters, and this is one of the treats they like.

Like dried biscuits
Remember to soak prior to serving. 1 cat likes it. Others don't. Not worth a 2nd purchase.
