Solid kit, durable, at an honestly great price
Have been backpacking for about 15 years now - lots of over nighters and 3-5 day hikes. Got this to replace a non-stick pot that had seen better days after 10 faithful years. Picked this up as it looked solid and the price was right. Honestly, the quality is a lot higher than I expected. Used it on two overnighters and one day hike. The 1 liter/4 cup size is great. Not too big, not too small. It's wonderful for one person. For two people, you need to get creative, but you can do it. Mine came with oz and ml stamped on the side which is nice. When setting up camp one crisp evening, we used it to boil up 4 cups of water for tea, and with the top lid/cup, we could each have a good portion of tea and unwind, and then start on a Lipton noodle dinner ( two of those is technically doable). It's great for two ramen noodle packs (just use three cups water and one spice packet). Obviously oatmeal for two is easy. The "meal in a bag" usually take 2 cups boiling water, or 4 cups for two, and that's very doable. If you are scrambling eggs, they will stick a bit if you aren't using a low flame - however, if making more of a wetter scramble with onions and mushrooms, this works like a champ over low heat. On the day hike we brought sandwiches and one ramen noodle pack with about 3 cups of water. It was really nice to have some hot salty tasty water along with the sandwich, and a couple bits of hot noodles as a bonus. That was nice actually. The size is right to assemble a nice compact unit without wasting space. I can get in the Trangia alcohol stove (filled with fuel), a folding MSR spatula, two folding MSR forks, some spices, a packet of ramen or a repackaged Liption noodle pack, a tiny scrubber, and some paper towels. Not bad. The pot is also big enough to heat up some soapy water and clean up face, hands and feet at the end of a day with a bandana without feeling like your skimping. At first I wasn't sure if I liked the cup lid, but now I like it - its useful as a cup, meal prep, dog dish, etc. If we want to fry things, like fish or pancakes (which I rarely do), we just toss in a cheapie non-stick skillet. On my scale, it was 8.3oz. Could probably cut off the handles on the lid and save 1.5oz.I liked it so much, I put together a Christmas kit for my 13 year-old nephew who's just trying out scouts/backpacking, etc. Basically got him my set up, which is this pot, Trangia burner and Westwind stand, all at a VERY reasonable price on Amazon just so he can try things out. And with the fairly large size, he can be in charge of cooking the ramen, totally boil away with two cups of water, and it won't boil over.CONCLUSION: If I'm doing a solo weekend or an overnight with another person and it's good weather, this is my go to setup. If it's possible to be stormy, it's winter, or on a 5 day hike where I cant predict the weather, I bring the Trangia 27 cookset (stormproof, heavy and spendy). I estimate this setup of pot, stand and burner is 6 oz heavier than 'ultra-light', but it's solid kit, durable, at a reasonable price.

Can't Recommend High Enough! Tough, Durable, Light for backpacking or road trips! Coating didn't scratch with metal utensils!
I can't recommend this set high enough! I have used it now a few times backpacking as well as while traveling (road trips and field work) to make tea and coffee on the side of the road (I hate buying disgusting overpriced coffee from gas stations). It is great for both uses as I can store my fuel, canister stove, and a cleaning cloth all inside the pots and a spork inside the mesh bag that comes with it. This means my cooking and eating stuff is all self contained and easy to keep together.I hadn't written a review yet (purchased this item about a year ago), because I really wanted to try them out... So far I have no complaints. Handles work fine, they have fallen out of my truck on more than a few occasions and show minor dents, but still work just fine. I was worried a bit about the coating or whatever it is that has been described as the "non-stick" coating for these. Let me just say it is very durable.STORYTIME!!!: On my last backpacking adventure I accidentally burned my dinner to the bottom of the large pot after the water evaporated and absorbed. I was worried I had ruined the pot or that I would ruin it by trying to free the burned bits later. I needed to keep cooking however (as my noodles were still crunchy) so I resorted to scraping the bottom of it off with my titanium spork, adding some more water, and continuing to cook. Got most of the burned stuff off the bottom while cooking and was able to finish dinner, but was almost certain that by doing so I had completely ruined the coating or whatever in the bottom of the pot/pan. I wasn't even able to clean the last remnants off easily, but as ti was the last day I decided to just pack it up and deal with it at home where I could adequately clean it and properly assess the damage I had surely caused... After soaking it for a bit at home the burned food came off and I couldn't even tell where I had scraped it! No scratches or loss of coating or anything! I was sure I would be buying another replacement set (which is now even cheaper than when I bought mine a year ago), but I don't need to.... however, I might anyway just to have for when I eventually do break this set (because of my own carelessness, no doubt). I am amazed with the resilience of these things and can't believe how well they have held up in the last year. Would recommend (and have) to anyone and everyone!

Wouldn't call it a pot and pan, more like a pot and cup. Still a good buy though!!
This is a great pot, small cup combo for camping, and stowing away for an emergency! I don't do a lot of hiking/backpacking camping anymore but would have loved to have this back then. As I got older I moved on to mostly car camping (i.e.- driving to your campsite and pitching a tent near your car!) so I'm not concerned about weight anymore. However I did buy two of these to put in our emergency bags in both my and my wife's cars. Along with camping this thing is perfect for having stowed away just in case you get stuck out somewhere for any reason. This pot and a little camp stove (I have the little folding Sterno stove which I also reviewed) are perfect for whipping up some hot soup in a pinch. It comes with a little mesh carry sack which helps to keep both halves of the pot/cup together. They nestle together pretty well but would probably come apart in your backpack pretty easily without the mesh bag. I would give it 5 stars but the handles feel just a tad flimsy and have some twist to them. Other than that the materials are good and although light it feels well made and the pot has metric volume gradations inside. Nice little product!

Accomodates an 8oz (227g) butane canister
I can store my 8 oz (227g) fuel canister in it. But I got this set mainly because the lid doubles as a little fry pan. Works great! The lid is nicely balanced. While using it as a pan or cup with the handles extended, even when empty, the lid does NOT tip because of the weight of the handles.

Good set
Bought these to save room which they do. But kind of impractical for a lot of dishes. Good for water, oatmeal , etc. But if a guy plans on frying taters or any type of frying really and isn't Jamie Oliver, it's probably best to go with a pan/pot combo kit. But if you're just doing coffee and mountain House freeze dried meals , it's all you'll need my friend. Also you can put condiments or rags or even a small stove inside. I used a rag around my stove attachment to avoid scratching the non stick layer when bouncing around hiking. Good set at the end of the day .

Just the right size, almost
I bought this hoping my MSR Dragonfly stove would fit inside. Almost, but not quite. I took the cover from a 50PK of CD-Rs, trimmed it to add about 5mm separation between the pots and it worked great. The stove in it's bag (alone, w/o the gas bottle or pump) nests perfectly w/o bending the flexible fuel line. The coating on the pots seems to scratch easily. I'll see how long it toughs out this summer.

Great product and great price!
A great deal compared to the similar products sold for 4x price in the camping stores!Nice and light and traveled well with me for my camping trip. Water heats up fast with the two pot system and the inner coating is decent, so you can clean out food easily. In my opinion I think the coating on handles are unnecessary because they add a slight bit of weight and their stickiness makes it hard to pack into the bag. Just a thought for the future model. Most campers will have a rag or a tool to move the pot around with. These plastic handle protectors just melt over time when exposed to fire.
