WORKS!
I bought this book out of desperation. My 4 month old was up all night long. I read it in one sitting and decided to try it. I only took parts of it and actually put it into use. BUT with the parts I used, my baby slept through the night after only 4 nights. And NO crying it out, she may have fussed a few times, but no crying. Now, my little one is 9 months old and sleeps from 8pm to 8am. AND when she rubs her eyes during the day all I have to do is lay her down for her nap. She puts herself to sleep!!I do think that alot of the concepts used would be better off used for kids under 1. That's in my humble opinion - but I can't imagine it helping with kids who already have a fairly set pattern of sleep. This is great for setting a standard for sleep in little ones. (again, in my humble opinion)I LOVE this book - it saved my sanity!

A Good Night's Sleep
I am a single parent and, I confess, had been co-sleeping with my little boy until he was three. At first it was convenient and cozy. But as he got older, I just got tired of never having a good night's sleep. What I love about this book is that it accepts the reality of co-sleeping for so many families, never made me feel bad about my 'decision' (actually I just fell into it) and gave my simple, clear strategies to teach my child how to go to sleep on his own. And guess what? They work! Now we both get a good's night sleep. Lots of other problems are discussed in short, simple sections, so I know I'll keep this book around just in case we run into any other snags...

A Lifesaver
This little book on sleep has sure helped me and my family get through the night. It turned out that my middle child's new sleep problem was a touchpoint for all of us, and once we understand that her refusal to go to bed and her awakenings during the night were all about being four and afraid of her own feelings, we were able to show her we could take her seriously and help her settle herself back down. It is such a relief to know that there is so much more help in this little book that I can turn whenever I need it again. I hope every parent knows that there is such a helpful resource out there.

All I needed to know
This is a great little book - short, easy to use, not overwhelming. Yet I've found all the answers to my questions in it, simply and clearly explained. I especially like the section with all the suggestions on how to handle problems. I'm done with struggling over bedtime with my 3 year old. This book has shown me what to do and given me the confidence to do it.

Saved our Sanity
My husband was referred to this book by someone he works with, when our son was two months old. We both read and followed its advice. Within a couple of days our son was sleeping through the night and still is at one year. Loved it. Would highly recommend

Good ideas to try with sleep issues.
Mostly gives sensible and 'down to earth' advice that can give parents confidence in their parenting.

Its an opinion
Information is not bad and it really helps. There is no magic recipy but its advises are within reason and to the right direction. It helps the parent to keep a steady behaviour wich is the key to the solution to many problems.
