The cap doesn't create a proper seal around my 5 gallon glass carboy. So when I try to do a pressure transfer CO2 escapes, and I've found the my beer is oxidised during fermenting too.

The part of this cap that comes into contact with the glass top is not smooth like what is visible in the picture and is covered in lumps/bumps that prevent it from making a proper seal - as evidenced by absence of bubbling through the airlock. I had to wrap cling film around it to make a seal, at which point the airlock began bubbling immediately. Far from impressed that the cap is unfit for the very simple purpose for which it was designed.
