Powered by Porsche - the Alternative Race Cars

I was interested in this as I was interested in the various Porsche powered sportscars from the Group 5, Group C/IMSA GTP and later eras.The Amazon price was good and the book, from MotorMedia, quickly and safely delivered.So, to the book - At around 450 pages, it's full of photos (mostly colour and printed on high-quality, glossy paper) of one-offs, modified Group C racers (RLRs, Joests, Kremers, etc) and Group 5 racers, many of which I'd not seen before.There's a section on Porsche powered single seaters (this is fairly thin, so if it's your area of interest, perhaps its not what your first port of call) and coverage of things like the American DPi prototypes and Panamerica racers. There are even Dakar racers and powerboats!It's a big, glossy book, full of good photos and lots of information on cars with Porsche engines, but not built by the factory (So the Joest 'Moby Dick's are covered, but not the factory car, for example.If you're interested in racing sportscars, especially, this is a great book to add to your collection.
