Items are brass and clamps are stainless steel. These are not the heaviest quality but an economical solution to using plastic or the ultra priced thicker ones.Used these for extension hoses for a liquid transfer pump. Perfect for this application.Recommend seller and item.

These fittings are perfect for my purpose. Real brass: I filed one to make sure. Pushing the connector into a 5/8" hose is tight, but I can do it by wetting the inside of the hose and pushing down on a hard surface. I am confident that these will not leak or accidentally come out of the hose.

Arrived in perfect condition and looked just as described. Says it will fit 5/8s and 3/4. Worked on the 3/4 hose just fine. Had to use some hard pressure and twisting to get it into the 5/8s hose. Good hard brass fittings and once on, doesn't leak. Much better than the hose repair found a the box stores which just clamp on with two screws.

Great quality, sturdy brass connectors with excellent smooth finish. Very easy to insert the barbed ends by heating the hose end and the barb in hot water then tightening the hose clamp. Use teflon tape to help seal the threads from leakage but also to prevent mineral buildup from jamming the connectorExcellent value for the money saving an expensive hose with a durable long lasting connector.

My son-in-law ran over our hose with the lawn mower (My fault. I didn't put it away) and it was only about two feet from the end of a very good 50' hose. There was no way we wanted to replace that very good hose so I ordered these new ends. My husband put the male end on the first time when it should have been the female. When he put the correct one on, it worked perfectly and saved 48' of our very good hose. He's 88 and installation was easy for him.

Thanks to Dragonspeak for tip! Was about to return, thinking I'd got too large size. The end that goes inside hose is 5/8" =17mm, but soaking the cut hose end in very hot water for a minute allowed me to insert connector. Remember to slide clamp on to hose before inserting brass connector, loosen clamp, slide down over hose and tighten. Both connector and clamp seem to be good, rustproof, durable material. High quality and good price, fast delivery.
