I’d been searching for clear containers with a lid. I wanted something that would stack & sturdy enough to hold my stained glass.These are fantastic! I can see the glass, they save space and are sturdy enough for it. The price is great. I will order them again.

I wish I'd known they didn't have metal lids. I should have read more carefully. I will find good use for them. They are well worth the money. I do recommend them.

This is not leakproof despite what the description says. It’s not a screw top. The lid just sits on top. This is good for dried goods but not for liquid or if you’re trying to contain something. I wanted to use it to organize my kids project area by putting beads, glitter, pompoms, etc in these jars but because the top doesn’t screw i imagine all those items ending up on our floor if it gets knocked down. Don’t buy if you need a more secure and truly leakproof jar. This is not for you.

Best jars for storing stuff and for small business.

I purchased the round jars for the purpose of storing slime, so this review is my opinion on its efficacy for that purpose.The Cons:The description that these jars are "leakproof" is a bit deceptive. Most of the jars/lids have a snug fit that keeps moisture in, preventing slime from drying out, but the lids do not screw on, and could potentially fall off if the jars were tipped over. There is some variability to how tightly the lids fit, but for the most part, I would consider the jars to be relatively airtight but not leakproof. I would recommend taping the rim with a strip of clear tape if using these jars for gifts or for transporting. Otherwise, they are sufficent for keeping slime moist if simply kept upright on a shelf. There are also slight scratches and/or residue spots on most of the jars, especially around the rims, as if they had been taped shut before (see image 2). However, this doesn't really bother me; the scratches are not very visible, and residues wash off with soap and warm water. I would be hesitant to use these for storing food, and certainly would not use these for travel (contrary to what the description suggests).Pros:Again, the description is somewhat confusing. The "about this item" section claims that these jars are made of PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) plastic, but the "product description" section lists the material as PS (Polystyrene) plastic in one of the images. PS (along with PP) plastics tend to be preferred over PET for nonstick storage, but to my knowledge, this can depend on a variety of factors (i.e. production process, additives, etc.). I am no plastics expert, so take this with a grain of salt. Regardless, given my previous sticky experiences with PET jars, I was on the hunt for containers made of PS or PP. Unfortunately, the jars themselves have no indication of the type of plastic material (i.e. abreviations, recycling number, etc.). However, I was pleased to find that, so far, unlike other jars I have bought from Amazon, I have not had any major issues with slime sticking to the sides. I have tested this with a clear bingsu slime, thick glue-all slime, and cloud slime; all three resulted in little to no residue (see image 3 for clean removal of cloud slime). However, they have only been held for a couple days at most, and I've yet to test longterm storage. The plastic is rigid/nonflexible, so will not form dents or creases when squeezed. I can see how chipping/cracking could potentially be an issue for brittle materials, but have not yet had a problem with it.Takeaway:Overall, this is certainly a product I would purchase again. I don't mind the minor damages (scratches, residue, etc.). Ultimately, this is an unbeatable price compared to practically any other nonstick slime storage jars (other than disposable food storage containers). I work with special needs kids, and the wide, straight-sided opening makes it extremely easy for the kids to reach in. My one complaint is that there is no mechanism for securing the lid in place, which contradicts many of the claims made in the description.Update:I have now purchased 3 packs of 40 round jars (plus 1 pack of 40 square, but I have not tried these yet), and I plan to buy more. Given the low price of this product, I think the jars are exceptional for slime storage, and have not had any issues with slimes sticking to the sides. I've found that if I fill the jars above the lower groove where the lid sits, the jars generally stay sealed with the slime itself holding the lid in place (however, I still tape the edges as a precaution). While I would still prefer a screw-top lid, these are easier to use for the special needs kids that I work with. The completely clear jar & lid provide a great display of the slime from all sides (see photos), which I prefer over the frosted clarity of the typical polypropylene (PP) jars that are used for slime storage. Overall, I still stand by my rating of 4/5 stars. The product description could be greatly improved and jars may still have some minor scratches/defects.

These are fantastic. Perfectly transparent so I can easily see what is inside the container, and the lids fit well. So, no accidentally coming off and making a mess. Plus, it makes them stackable, as well. I don't know that I would necessarily say they are leakproof, though. I imagine if you tried to put a liquid in them the kid would leak, since there isn't a locking mechanism or rubber gasket to seal it. However, if it's solid items, like jewelry, hair pins, even crackers, jellybeans, or grapes, the lid will stay on well enough to prevent those from spilling. And getting 20 of these I. A set is wonderful. I actually just filled up the last 5 containers 2 days ago, after having had them for about a month and half, and also giving several to my sister for her to use in her bathroom. So, plenty of these containers for whatever your needs.

I admit I am using these as plant propagation pots because they are wide and shallow enough and I love that they are square so they can all be neatly set next to each other.They are durable and the lids fit nicely.
