Paper Mate Inkjoy Quatro Retractable Ball Pen Medium Tip - Assorted Standard Colours

This was the best/smallest combination I could find as I only needed red & green [the full list is red, green, black & blue]. I wanted this style of pen as there wasn't room for two separate pens in my file. The mechanism is a bit tricky, when you use one colour you should be able to retract it but one colour wont do this, you have to move to a different colour & click on that to change colours! A minor inconvenience, not worth returning, otherwise the pen writes beautifully.

These are better than the Bic version I used to buy because the barrel is thinner, there's a rubberised grip and they have a smoother writing action. All the colours (you get two pens with standard black/blue/red/green and one with 'fun colours' - pink/purple/light green/turquoise) are bright and usable. Very pleased with them indeed.

The Good:Writes smoothly as it should as it is an inkjoy, pen retracts easily and smoothly, pen is pretty tough so can handle a few knocks and doesn't scratch easily. Has a good grip. only had pen for a few weeks before someone lost it so not sure how long ink lasts but seems like it will last long as I have previously had a Papermate Flexgrip pen lasts over 2 months which I have reviewed. Good quality product is worth price and pretty good value for money. It is handy to have these as I don't have to keep changing pen when writing in different colour. All ink colours are the colour it should be (the colour on the packaging) Product itself came in good packaging which protected pen and was not difficult to open and came very quickly.The bad;Ink smudges on paper and dries quickly but not quick enough for you not to smudge ink if you lean your arm over it dries in about 45 seconds so make sure you wait for it to dry before leaning or putting your finger over also it manages to get ink stained on the outside which is very difficult to remove and I did not manage to remove it. Even though it writes smoothly it is not easy for me to wirte neatly with it like I can with many other pens this may just be me but it should be easy to write neatly with it for everyone.Overall good quality pen which works well but could be better

Easy to grip, colours are gorgeous and silky smooth to write with.

Had one as a youngster and thought it might be a fun little retro nod on my desk (and potentially useful for notes). To my surprise it writes beautifully and I use it a lot more than I thought I would. Fast delivery too. Someone actually commented on it when I was working in the pub one afternoon, when was the last time a stranger commented on your pen?Cheap and cheerful. Can't fault it, five stars it is then.

Pen is as described but not as shown, no packaging at all

This is a very good pen. It has lovely colours and they all write smoothly. It's great for general use and I also use for crafting. Also bought one as a stocking filler gift which I think will be appreciated too. Will probably get more as gifts and definitely more for my use. I certainly recommend this. Also arrived promptly and in pristine condition.

Great pen but the nibs are so narrow/thin. I like it thin but this is too much in my opinion.
