It is exactly 5". I bought an extra one and measured it.

Do you want the old square solenoid or the old style diaphragm? The old diaphragms are no longer available. This is the only difference we are aware of.

The valve delivered was the new style valve. The picture is in correct. I searched for an older style valve and could not find one. My nursery had an old style diaphragm so I just replaced it.
