A wonderful jam. Not to sweet.

I had no idea they even made this stuff but it is absolutely delicious. You'll be pleased.

Sweeter than expected

The taste is quite good, but the texture is more like salsa than the “jam” it’s purported to be. I thought it might thicken once refrigerated, but no. Not nearly enough pectin or whatever ingredient they used to thicken this product.

Some years ago American Spoon Foods published a great recipe for a savory tart made with heirloom tomatoes, goat cheese, basil, and their Heirloom Tomato Preserves. When they stopped making those Preserves, I couldn't find anything that worked nearly as well until I tried this Tomato Jam. It is so good on its own but it's perfect for that tart.That recipe is no longer online, but it's very simple. Spread the goat cheese in a baked pie shell, cover with the Tomato Jam, top with slices of heirloom tomatoes and some basil leaves, and bake.

It was my very first time I bought and tasted tomato jam. I had never even heard of such a thing. I am glad I bought it. I can still taste the tomato taste but I like the sweetness of it. It's not overly sweet and I am not sure I would add it to any pasta dish considering mine always has lots of garlic but spreading it on a toasted bread and adding some whipped cream was how I chose to try it at first. This product was listed as jam. It has the consistency of watery tomato soup. You can’t spread it on anything because of the watery nature. Tastes like V8 with sugar in it. This product is a scam with a fancy label and packaging. Buyer beware, product is non-refundable. Another Amazon disappointment from one of their 3rd party sellers. At least it didn’t come from China.

We use it for doing shrimp, french fries, burgers and everything and anything you'd use cocktail sauce or ketchup on. Makes great meatloaf too! If you like things on the sweet side of taste, you'll love this
