Well the silicone is good , exactly what it is advertised as. However I ordered this and the tube I got was less then 3 weeks away from being expired , my project might not be ready for silicone in 3 weeks so I returned it for another tube to be safe. The replacment came and had the exact same expiration date. So I did nothing more then waste my time by trying to do things right. 🙃 well since my complaint wasn't heard and they just sent more of the same I am taking a star for what would otherwise been a 5 star review. Next time I will probably pay more but buy it in person so I can check the date before purchase. The catalyst is what expires in silicone , when it expires the silicone won't cure , if it doesn't cure properly it won't make a good seal making the product bound to fail. Rendering it something I would just need to scrape off if I used it. Wasting even more of my time ... but the customer service was good, the product when not expired is good , and probably just a weird thing to buy on Amazon, so the lot gets close to expiration sometimes and likely not to happen , but I am not chancing it again. It could end with 60 +gallons of water on my floor and a dead animal. Nobody wants that.

For my aquarium, only this works. But my water turtle has very pointy nails and loves to scratch any thing she can. So needed to seal the silicone seals with clear epoxy membrane, but epoxy could not adhere to silicone, so I had to remove them all and replace with epoxy putty and sealed with competition the pond shield in blue and clear. It is special circumstance, usually I just go with this silicone and never have to worry

So I haven't personally used this product yet but I have it on hand in the event that I need it for fixing a leaky aquarium. I have heard many great reviews about it from other aquarium hobbiests.

The sealant does in fact seal the aquarium preventing any leakage of water. Iwoyld buy it again.

This product works very well just takes all day to dry but it’s well worth the time. Iv used it to seal a leak on my 55 gallon take. Also used it to seal a leaking on back bolts on taillight on my vehicle as well. Very pleased with it
