This little compass keyring ticked two boxes for me: I needed a new keyring for my house keys, and I've been in need of a compass for some time.Reading the description, I had to smile at all the pictures of outdoor, sporty, adventurous types with their mini compasses, as my situation is very different. I don't have a car so travel on buses a lot. I've never had much of a sense of direction (and it gets worse with age!) so I find myself getting very frustrated when I'm going somewhere new by bus, and online directions tell me to walk north/south/east/west from my destination bus stop. Problem solved, now that I have a mini compass attached to my keys!At such a reasonable price, I don't know how long my compass keyring will last, but it seems sturdy enough, and it's an attractive little gadget. The catch on the keyring was much easier to use than the basic ring ones I've always had before, so I was able to attach three keys very quickly - and without losing a single fingernail!I now look forward to testing out the compass - not out in the wilds, but on my first bus journey to somewhere new!

I ordered tjis for my young son who.loves anything like this, he chose it. It days its made from copper marerial and has a netal keychain. Its front is glass, so i donr know how long that will last if it gets smashed or hit on something. But it looks nice and smart and is a handy item. It did pount to south when hrld to our back garden which is south facing, so does appear to work. Nice compass. Not bad for £4.99.
