Piggies love it!!
My piggies are spoiled and have a setup that take up an entire spare bedroom. They have lots of houses and hidies, but this covered hammock takes the cake. I have three piggies that are all about three years old and one is pretty chonky. He fits just fine and loves to run through it like an obstacle course. The other two enjoy it just as much. It’s a lot more durable than I was expecting. I’ve purchased a ton of Guinea pig toys/accessories just to throw them away a month later. I was worried about the wood parts getting pee on them and then it getting gross and unrepairable, but so far so good! If it has gotten wet, I can’t tell. The hammock is one long piece, so no worries about piggies getting sick or tangled. It also comes off easily so you can wash it. I would definitely repurchase, but this thing might last forever.

Gunieas Love It!
TLDR: The Piggies love it, wood used is kind of cheap. My Guniea Pigs were never ones for Hammocks and I decided to try one more time and I was looking for those hammocks that you see on Instagram with those Guniea Pig accounts. The ones they use were all like $70 on Etsy! So I decided to take a chance and get this instead. It was WORTH it. They immediately took a liking to it and began jumping in and out. I have an older Guniea Pig (Almost 6) who isn’t one for jumping but even she was getting some action in it. It was a little bit bigger then I would have liked (If you have the panels it’s the size of 2). But not a big deal.Only downside is the wood is kind of cheap. I feel that if they pee on it, it will stain and rot but only time will tell. Overall, excellent purchase if you’re looking to save money!

Piggies love it
I was concerned about it taking up too much space at first because their zoomie time is important but they still run around underneath and even through it. I put some pea flakes in the hammocks to get them curious and they took to it almost immediately. It's still bigger than I'd like but it's probably perfect for them. I'll be keeping this around for a while

So cute; a little noisy!
I've been wanting this type of hammock/hammock stand for a long time (though the single variety), and am so happy to finally have one! It just barely fits in my guinea pigs' cage along the shortest cage dimension, so be sure to pay close attention to the measurements to make sure it will fit where/how you want it to.Assembly went well, but the hooks were facing the wrong way in the instructions, at least it seemed so to me. Underneath the top there are metal hinges holding the two parts of the top piece together, and the unit folds almost in half (the seam isn't directly centered). Although the big guinea pig sticker is meant to keep the hammock stand from folding, the sticker has "failed" on mine (detached as the stand folded) when picked up, so I wish the top were one solid piece. The hammocks are actually just one hammock, so it's a cute touch that they used a couple fabric colors on the top to make it look like two. The bottom fabric is solid grey.I would prefer fabric loops to the metal hardware used, for various reasons, including that the metal on metal is noisy as they play with it. I ended up sewing two additional double-hammocks, with fabric hanging loops. They're so much quieter! If you know how to sew it wasn't hard--I just used the dimensions of the hammock (adding seam allowance). For fabric loops I copied the length of what extends beyond the border of the hammock (doubling and adding seam allowance) so it would hang at a similar height, and formed them like double-fold bias tape (four layers thick). As for my guinea pigs, they've not taken to it as much as I have seen other guinea pigs do. One unfortunately chews on it. They will go inside almost as a game. In using it at all, they primarily like to nap under it. They have various places to sleep and hide; if this were their only one they might take to it more. I'm still happy to have it, though.

Love it, just wish it didn't fold
I don't have guinea pigs yet, but I am currently using this as a platform in one of my hamster cages. It's sturdy and big, and when I do get guinea pigs I think it will be great with the double hammock (I will clean it with vinegar and then bake it for sanitize it before using it for different animals). My only complaint is that I wish the top wasn't hinged to fold. I understand that this is done to make it easier and less expensive to ship because it can fit in a smaller box, but the seam on top means that it's a bit harder to keep clean. I seal all of the wood products in my enclosures with mod podge, but it would be really nice if the top were one solid piece. It includes a sticker meant to cover this seam, but the seam is off-center and the sticker doesn't entirely cover it, so it's not really a practical solution. The sticker would also not really be any easier to keep clean. But overall, I do still recommend this platform, as it is a great size, the hammock is very nice, and there's quite a but of versatility to it.
