Perfect cuts
Interestingly, the red guide is easier to work with than the black one. Super easy to install. The most difficult part was removing the old glue and cleaning the rail for the new install.

Adhesive lifts after throughly cleaned
These splinter guards have weak adhesive. Hence the cheaper price I guess. Lacquer thinner took the grime away from my tracks, let it dry applied the splinter guard, trick is normally rolling the adhesive on, sometimes a little heat from a blow dryer a good distance away will help spread the adhesive more evenly, mixed with something you can roll back and fourth on the tracks splinter guard.Even with a little previous experience installing these, this set this straight up had poor adhesion. Ended up having to put clear tape on ends to hold it down, kept lifting off tracks. Contacted seller about poor product, seller said return product if you wanna refund, problem is their on the bottom of the track. Stay away from these don’t be fooled in by the nice price, oh and one last thing there not clear more like frost . Black is way easier to line up with marks, or stick to true festool clear brand name.

Works on Ryobi track saw.
Put this on my Ryobi track and it's much better than what comes on the track. A bit stiffer and does not burn from blade friction like the black rubber one did. My track saw is accurate again.

Great alternative to save a few dollars
I used this on my Kreg saw and works just like the factory one but I actually prefer the color better.

Will not stick to track
Overall, the splinter guard itself met my expectations, but the adhesion or lack thereof sucked. After cleaning the track and letting it dry. I applied the splinter guard to the track and used a roller to make sure it was attached. With-in about 1 minute it started rolling off the track. So, I pulled it off and put it in the trash. Recommend sticking with the Fastool brand.

Melts on 1st Cut
This splinter guard works, but it doesn’t cut cleanly on the first pass. I used this to replace the guard on 2 powertec tracks that are paired with a Wen track saw. For the first track, I cut the guard unsupported. It melted and the melted bits balled up on the top on bottom of the guard. You can scrape them off with a little effort and it’s fine. The second track I made the initial cut to the guard on a sacrificial board. It still melted, but it only balled up on the top making it a lot easier to clean up the edge.
