Q: can I use it without the divider?

Yes I used the divider to make a prop to hold one side of the lid up to make it look like a slipper chair. I didn't need it in the box as using a large cat box inside of it. Divider worked well to prop the one side up.

Q: Does this come with litter box?

It does not come with a litter box included. The interior is large enough to put your own large box inside of any type. I can't say enough good things about this container. Like the picture shows, the top flips open to clean so there is no more liter coming through opened doors on the side. My girl sleeps on top and it is sturdy enough to use as an extra seat.

Q: Can you buy more carbon filters?

I don't know if the company sells them but I would think you could pick up one in Home Depot or Lowe's. This one would probably wash well, too.
