A Light in the Dark for Pandas & Pans

My 10 yr old Grandaughter has PANDAS. I had listened to a Pos Cast from this author and was very impressed with her and decided to order the book. I am a RN. but have been retired for 10 yrs and had never seen a case of PANDAS until my daughter informed me. This book breaks everything down in simple terms with a little bit of knowledge that I had to reference. But it has some GREAT information and talks about how it begins, the symptoms, the treatments with lots of information in between. If you have a child with PANS OR PANDAS I WOULD BUY THIS BOOK. I DO NOT think you'll regret the purchase one bit!

I purchased "A light in the Dark for PANDAS and PANS" book yesterday, and after that, I couldn't stop reading it. The information, Dr. Crista provided regarding treatment approaches was tremendous. The way she explained the complex scientific subjects in the latest articles in a way everybody can understand, shows how she is knowledgeable. The Foreword that has been written by Dr. Nathan shows parents the way that they should go.I will come again to complete my review after treatment….Thank you very much for your time, Dr. Crista, for giving tremendous information.

Wish i had found this book sooner. I have read many books on the subject of pans/pandas in order to understand and help my son. But this book goes into what you can ACTUALLY do, eg, what you can actually buy and give and treat and how much wtc. Invaluable insight, easy to read, praying my husband wants to pick it up

This is an amazing resource for anyone trying to heal their child/loved one/themselves from PANDAS/PANS. It’s so thoughtfully organized and I am already marking pages, taking notes, and referring to it constantly. It’s full of usable information and the explanations are easy to understand and helpful.Jill Crista provides so much free (or, almost free, just the price of a book) information not only in this book but also on her website and various podcasts she’s been interviewed on. This easily accessible information could make a huge difference in struggling children’s lives, and I thank her for the time she put into sharing her wealth of knowledge. Her years of personal experience treating PANDAS/PANS in many children, including her own, is poured into this book. She admits she purposely kept it short though, and condensed her core tools in order to avoid overwhelming stressed out parents who are in survival mode (which I appreciate). With that said, I’d also love a second edition…the information-overload version…as well!My only criticism is this book didn’t come out a year ago when we were first trying to navigate this condition! For us personally, this book is already worth its weight in gold since it lead me to discover an effective supplement that opened up my eyes to the fact that my daughter’s case involves some histamine issues. Something none of her providers thus far have discovered. It’s made a huge difference. Thank you Dr. Crista for your dedication to educating parents, patients, and providers about PANDAS/PANS!

This is my FAVORITE book I have read on treating and understanding PANS/PANDAS so far. As a PANS patient I have read many as I attempt to learn all I can and this was a wonderful wealth of information. Plus, it had detailed, yet easy to understand and apply, explanations with practical advice from an experienced naturopathic doctor who dealt with this condition with her own twin sons. I HIGHLY recommend this for anyone dealing with PANS/PANDAS or for anyone that wants to learn more about these conditions and what to be aware of and on the lookout for. Also, a great resource for practitioners to have on hand. Thank you Dr. Crista, for taking the time to bring us such a great book! I know this book will benefit many people going through PANS/PANDAS, I know it has me!
