Very robust, and an absolutely great add to the living room. The light on it is only a lamp though. It does not illuminate the glass or sand, which would be a nice touch.

Really nice (I ordered the blue colour). As described. The light is really bright (even on warm white setting). Has 3 settings - bright white, warm white and strobe (why anyone would have the strobe effect on this confuses the life out of me). Can also be used without the light on. When first out of the box it takes 8-10 turns for the sand and bubbles to adjust so that it works correctly. Very well packaged. Really nice product but a bit smaller than I imagined it to be.

I thought this product was pretty much failure proof however, the air bubbles trapped inside the glass cause the sand not to move without vigorous shaking. Suggest people look else where. Return date has passed as it was a present for my daughter’s birthday. Oh well lesson learnt.

I like this a lot. Came with lots of bubbles and no English instructions and no needle to remove bubbles. But it works well and has a lovely effect in the dark

I really love this product, it’s really mesmerising and a perfect addition to any room would definitely recommend. Also makes a great gift.

So first of all mine unlike a lot of the comments here actually worked. great start. Now for the negatives, the advertised size of 10 inches is a lie, the total size including the outside frame is approximately 7 inches, so the actual rotating plate is only about 5.5 inches across, not sure if this is a mistake but is false advertising all the same, in fact my hand can cover the whole thing without issue. The lights are WAY to bright, even on the warm setting which is the lowest light level the light is intense and overpowering, and also I have no idea why they included a strobe option presumably the light used came with that setting and they didn't bother to change it. The general build quality is pretty poor, there are many areas of plastics not quite meeting correctly and it looks very shabby, especially with the light on which highlights all the mistakes in production. Finally mine came with no "regulator" for adding or removing air so it gets stuck after a while and I have to tap the top of it a few times to get the sand moving again.I went for the more pricey option when I was looking for one of these and it seems to be wasted money, cheap product from china that most likely cost a tiny amount compared to the asking price. Quite disappointing overall would recommend going for a UK or US made one or to pay a lot more for the higher end manufacturers as this is comparable to the 5-10 pound ones available whilst costing between 3-4x that amount
