Copy of an old book
Yes the font is old fashionned. But the pictures and the neatness of the book are great. Absolutely no problems reading it.

First, let's clear the air. The reprint quality was terrible. I returned the first copy and the second was no better. I asked for a refund. The text pages are printed with a two-toned blotchy background that does not appear in the electronic version. It makes the type very difficult to read. The photos are undecipherable. But if you can get past the readability issues, the story itself is fascinating. Mr. Fenger is an excellent writer and his descriptions combine a sharp eye with a witty use of language that in its somewhat antiquated tongue that is a delight to discover.

One of the BEST sailing books ever written
One of the BEST sailing books ever written. I loaned it to a fried who is a big reader and he rated it in the top 3 books he has ever read. Went out and found a hardback copy to give his brother in law. I compare it to Joshua Slocum's book about sailing alone around the world but I think this book is much more entertaining and descriptive. Frederic Fenger was not only an intrepid sailor, he was a gifted writer and we are so fortunate to have two books from him.
