If you want a great condenser, this condenser is for you
I do not give 5-stars lightly.First off, I am not a professional nor am I properly educated in audio engineering so I did a lot of fact-finding research about different types of microphones and I found what would best fit my needs. I would recommend the same to you. A little bit of time spent learning can go a long way to getting the right product and help save you headache and money.I have other condenser microphones but they don't sound anywhere near the raw quality of this one. With vocals it is rich and vibrant and maintains vocal character very well. I use a multi-band compressor, low-volume mono-to-stereo enhancements, a deesser, and an EQ and I am able to achieve a produced-studio-like-sound at a fraction of the cost. I do not have a proper acoustic suppression setup in my studio so I also purchased an acoustic shield for this microphone and a steel on-stage microphone stand. With the acoustic shield suppressing in-room echos it really brings out the clarity and accuracy of this microphone. For my acoustic guitar after I re-stringed it - it was easy to hear the difference between old strings and new strings. This microphone picks up good but not overwhelming bass, amazingly accurate mids, and long-resonating highs. It deals very well when hard strumming with high volume and i havent heard it bottom-out or get that overburdened maximum gain sound. This is a great deal on this microphone. I would recommend it to everyone who knows a condenser microphone is for them.

GREAT MIC!!
NOW LETS JUST START BUY SAYING THIS IS PRETTY MUCH THE BEST MIC I HAVE USED SO FAR. THE SOUND QUALITY IS VERY CRISP EVEN IN LARGE ROOMS. THIS MIC CAPTURES THE TRUE BASE AND ESSENCE OF YOUR VOCALS. A VERY SOLID SHOCK MOUNT WITH A CUSTOM POP FILTER WHICH IS VERY NICE. DEFIANTLY WORTH THE MONEY IF YOUR RUNNING A HOME STUDIO AND LOOKING FOR A GREAT MIC THEN LOOK NO FURTHER.

Great Mic!
I have been recording Audio for well over a decade and Ive tried various mics. I was a little unsure of this despite the good reviews due in fact to the price. I was thinking how is a mic under $200 going to add up to higher end mics that I have used and spent hundreds on? Despite my reservations I bought it and it works woderfully. The vocals are crystal clear and I get great range of highs and lows without a preamp having to crunch down the highs. I recommend this item to anyone who is looking for great vocals at a great price. I would also suggest a reflection filter if you will not be working out of a sound proof booth. I have used that in combination with this mic and it also sounds awesome.

Good sounding mic
I just got this fella to do some basic sound recording(voice-over, sound effects, instruments, for various media projects) and it works great for that. It's not your top of the line studio mic, but for most Foley work or instrumentation it does the job, and does it well. I'm definitely satisfied

OK product.
The Mic came with a art loose inside. The overall make, ie: build does not have the fit that a well engineered product would when you compare it to audio-technica, or even a samson. The external housing is easily stained with finger prints and you have to clean it as often as you can. However, the mic can be easily taken apart to see whats the issue or loose sound is coming from. Mine came with a screw loose in the capsule section. The overall sound quality is fairly warm, and pleasing. It does pick up a fair amount of detail from vocals. But if you want something with more detail, with vocals ie:singings, this might not be the product for you.

Works great but broke after 6 months
I would give a 5 star review but the mic stopped working after 6 months. The mic works great but for the price should last longer, I wrote a private email but never got a response.

Amazing quality
My friends who have tested this were extremely impressed and couldn’t believe it was only $200. Honestly can not tell the difference from this and very high quality $1000+ mics. Looks gorgeous too with the metal screen and feels very high quality other than some slight misalignment which MXL is known for. Other than that it is really perfect for RNB/hip hop vocals. I don’t know a whole lot about mics but idk if there’s much better in this price range. Very glad I spent the extra $100 on this vs one of their cheaper ones.
