Would recommend, but cat can escape...
I have a fat cat - 17 pounds - and bought this to get her more active. The largest size (medium) is snug on her when the straps are maxed out. I don't think this would fit larger cats. She lets me put it on her with minimal resistance and when I am outside with her on a leash it works great. I put her out with this harness attached to a line and I went back inside. A little while later I heard her scratching at the door, something had scared her and she managed to get herself out of the harness. Nothing was broken and the clasps we're still connected, but she worked her way out of it somehow. I will only let her out when I am watching now.I tried putting the harness on my other cat to take her out too, and she freaked out and tore across the house trying to bite it off of her, so this is not for all kitties :)

Cat Harness- 2 Skeptical Husband- 0
My husband looked at us like we were crazy when my kids and I suggested harnesses for our two curious indoor cats. He wanted them to explore outside, but we live in a coyote populated area, so that just wasn’t an option until I ordered these.Kiwi (pictured) is our most chill cat and he had no issues getting strapped in while he snacked on some treats. Our other cat is a little nervous, but with some gentle restraint, he let us buckle the straps and then was comfortable wearing the harness. Both cats love going into the backyard to explore. We don’t lead them with the leash, but we follow them closely and are able to guide them away from areas we don’t want them going. We keep their harnesses on inside for short periods so they become more comfortable wearing them. They both regularly fall asleep with them on, which makes me believe they aren’t bothered at all. The smalls fit well and we haven’t had any escapes.I never thought we’d be the type of people to put our cats on a leash, but here we are, and we’re all kind of loving it.. even my husband!

Surprised at the reaction my cat had!
Pinky, my lovely curmudgeon of 11+ years is very set in his ways. Hates the vet, hates the pet carrier, demands to be let out at O dark thirty most mornings. We have a long car journey ahead of us very soon, so I thought this might be a good investment for rest stops and general cat control - if there's such a thing. After a gentle introduction, a judicious Feliway spray of the harness and loosening all the staps to the max (I bought the small, maybe should have gone for a medium). I put it over his head and he actually allowed me to buckle him in! Amazing! I think offers a bit of security (like a Thundershirt) and we're both pleasantly surprised that Pinky's taken to it so well.

Love it!
My cat is pretty sure she cant walk on it lol but she is slowly getting over that. The color is vibrant and beautiful on her. It took a little efford to adjust it to her but so far so good. I really like this product. I would buy again.

Someone is enjoying this more than I am!
My 16 year-old cat has been having health problems for about 6 months. I have been taking him outside to get fresh air and explore the yard. I didn't know how he would tolerate the harness. He was a little hesitant about having it put on him, just a little. The harness was easy to adjust. When I had it on him, I held him in front of a mirror telling him it was his present. After all these years I think he has an understanding of English. I attached the leash. He seemed to be okay with this arrangement in the house. Within five minutes after I had him in the harness and leash we were outside. He adapted to it so quickly that he soon became "The Boss" about where we were going. I was surprised with the strength with which he pulled on the leash. He is ecstatic about "his present". I received strong objections when I ended the walk and exploration of the yard. If I don't take him out again tonight, I'll probably be sleeping alone! Haa! He is a good cat.
