A brick
These grains were delivered on time but are one solid piece and hard as a rock. Really disappointed

These made a delicious first course!
I make cooked winter wheat berries ( I cook them for hours.) My husband’s family always had a Ukrainian meatless Christmas dinner. I used this brand this year and they were the best ever. Cooked wheat, walnuts, poppy seeds and honey . Quite good !

Delicious toasted
These came vacuum packed and fresh. They are wonderful addition to my bread. I use half sprouted, half toasted then cooked. Absolutely wonderful flavor for my wheat berry loafs.

Just like dry beans, you need to clean these
Ever cook dry beans? You know how you need to go through the bag, clean them and pick out things like rocks? Yep. Same thing applies here. There were some little things here and there that needed removed, but I was expecting that.To cook these, use an instant pot. It's just water, salt and these things. 30 minutes at high pressure should do the trick. Here's the fun part, these can be whatever you want them to be. Want them to be savory? They can do that. Want something sweet? Use brown sugar and cinnamon or whatever.A word of warning. A little makes a lot and there is a LOT of fiber in there. If you don't get a lot of fiber in your diet and you suddenly eat a big bowl of these you may...uh...end up losing some weight....in the bathroom...loudly. That's technically a good thing, but, well, you should know before you go in I guess. They will be chewy. That's just how they are. All wheat berries are like that. You can make them softer by cooking longer, but you won't get rid of that chewiness entirely.Get on the internet, look up recipes, dig out the instant pot and have fun!
