Exo Terra Bendable Moss Vine Small

If you asked me to name one must-have item for an aerborial pet enclosure, the ET Moss Vine would be it.It adds so much verticality to enclosure at the cost of very little space (unlike a cork tube for example). It also feels very high quality and is easy to set in place. My little Crestie loves it (I think).

This is a good enough products, however I had to get wire cutters to one of the ends as there was a dangerous sharp piece of wire coming out it. It’s softer then the other jungle vines but I did not know that there were real pieces of wood etc in this. Concerned about bacteria build up and possible mites etc. This was for a sterile terrarium. It also toke ages to get rid of all the loose bits and the green dye.

The way exo terra packaged this vine means it came snapped in 3 areas. It is particularly flimsy, I wanted it to perform as places for my gecko to jump to at the top of the cage. His cage was bare in the top half previously, however I had to lean it against other items as it does not stand very well. Once it became more secure it looks good, even with having to work around some of the snapped areas.

These vines aren’t hard and rough like others due to the moss coating. I tried a cheaper brand once, but the green was very fake looking and flaked off, with strands of fibres coming away.It’s definitely worth paying slightly more for Exo Terra, they look really natural too. You can get suckers for the ends so they stay in place more too.

Does the job, tore in two places exposing the wire though when twisting together to make a stronger vine. Managed to cover over with leaves.. my cham seems happy enough with it.
