Looks great, easy to use, gentle smell, dries quickly
Dries quickly. Easy to apply.Unexpectedly pleasant scent. I get headaches from strong chemical smells but I had no issue with this one at all. This one kind of smelled like fruit candy, so watch small kids around it.I won’t know how effective it is until the wood has been subjected to weather (sun and rain) for a few months, but I’ll try to remember to update here once I know how it goes. I know what these beds look like with no weather protectant, so I should have a good gauge.Picture is the before and after of applying the sealant to the wood pieces for my raised garden bed. This is just the sealant, and no added colors. I think it makes the wood look richer and somehow more expensive. 😆Quick notes: gloves and glasses are a good idea (protect your skin and eyes from splatters), get a foam applicator for quick and smooth application, I used a paint tray to pour it in while I was working with it. If you don’t have a way to air dry the wood pieces off the ground, remember it will take twice as long as you think it will because you have to wait for at least one side to fully dry before you can seal the bottom side (the part resting on the ground).

Easy to apply, overnight water protection, smells great, good coverage
Easy to apply, smells great, easy to clean off hands, seemed to have good penetration into the cedar, and added a nice warm tone to the wood.Left some boards out overnight in Seattle, water was beading on the ones I treated and had soaked into the ones I hadn’t gotten to yet.Really the only question is how long will it last? Only time will tell.I went through about half a gallon covering something like 160 sq ft of cedar with one to two coats applied to each surface (was under a time crunch, otherwise would have done a full two everywhere).Very happy, buying another gallon for some raised beds.Wiped on and absorbed quickly, though running the rough sawn 12x2s through a thickness planer played a big role in that. Would’ve been a lot slower if trying to wipe the applicator sponge over rough wood.

Covers a decent amount
I bought it, I used it, as far as the transaction and shipping it was pretty standard. As far as application, it was easy, covered a good amount of wood for a good size composter. It is thin and goes on clear and easy with a roller. I only needed one bottle though I wasn’t sure it would be enough. It was. As far as effectiveness, I don’t know yet, it’s been about a year and a half, maybe two so it’s too early to tell as I have no previous experience with it and don’t know anyone who does. When I bought it there weren’t any reviews testifying to it’s amazing effectiveness over time from personal experience 😂

Good, but room for improvement.
I bought a quart of this stuff to seal a trio of new medium-large cedar planter boxes (I'm not planting directly in them, but growing large plants within grow pots, so it's not quite as exposed to moisture as a raised bed would be). It's too soon to tell how well it holds up to the elements, but overall the application was smooth and the finish came out quite nice. I didn't add any tint, so it really just highlights the grain of the wood a bit and gives it a more polished look. I did two coats and ended up with a few ounces of the product left over.Application was easy. If you've ever used Rubio Monocoat it's pretty similar to that. I wiped up the excess after each coat, as directed, and didn't have any stickiness once it was dry.I took off one star for a couple of reasons.1. The scent. Other folks had mentioned in their reviews that it's got a very strong smell. What I didn't realize is that the smell is, almost certainly, an additive. It's vaguely tropical, but also smells very artificial, like a gas station piña colada air freshener. I wouldn't call it offensive, exactly, but I really wish it wasn't in there. I'm guessing the main ingredient of this product is linseed oil or another drying oil, and I find their natural odors much more appealing than this. It's cloying, and a tiny bit of it on clothing will stink up a room. The boxes are now outside in the fresh air, a few days later, and they still stink like the bargain bin of a Bath and Body Works.2. There's a lot of marketing copy hyping this product, but none of it seems to include a meaningful description of the actual ingredients. Maybe there's an SDS somewhere, but I dislike that the manufacturer seems to be hiding the ball as to what's in it. Different finishes work differently, as anyone who's ever finished wood knows, and having more info prior to application would be a sign of respect for the customer, in my opinion. It'd also better tell me if what I'm buying is actually a good deal.Despite the above, I took a chance on this stuff because it seemed well reviewed, was competitively priced, and touted as low VOC nontoxic. I'm happy with the results, but I can't say I'd be terribly inspired to buy it again unless the manufacturer addressed the above concerns.

Very happy with my purchase
I used this product on five wooden bins for our garden this summer. It made the wood turn out beautiful and it seems to be holding up very well. It was extremely easy to apply and dried evenly. The seller was amazing with tips and any assistance that I needed with the product as well. I really like the fact that it’s all natural and makes me feel better about putting fruits and vegetables into the boxes knowing that that product has been applied to the boxes.

Seals great....very low odor.
This brushed on very easily and only took a few brush strokes for each surface. This is the only sealer that I've used that had such low odor. I let it dry overnight and water beads up on it....no wood penetration at all. We used this in our raised planter boxes and so far it's working as advertised. We are very pleased with the performance of this sealer.
