It has a lot of great benefits. I’ve seen improvement in the texture of my hair. It smells amazing. I think the price point is just too pricey. I’ve tried other products that have worked even better

I enjoyed using this luxury salon quality shampoo as soon as it arrived at my home. The fact that it is formulated with active botanicals and pure plant extracts convinced me it would nourish and stimulate my scalp to enhance the health of my hair follicles. I've been told that some brands of volumizing shampoos could damage your hair over time but based on the ingredients used by Phillip B. products I don't believe that's the case with this scalp booster.I was a little overwhelmed with the price of a 6 oz. bottle of Phillip Scalp Booster (Over $14 an ounce) although it can be purchased at a lower price even on Phillip B.'s own website for $20 to $30 less per bottle depending on whether you subscribe to the product or not. But I was still curious why the price out paced even one of my favorite brands which is Paul Mitchell. Based on my research it appears that Philip B’s hair-care products are some of the most expensive in the world. Forbes Magazine was so impressed with his products that they placed Philip B’s scalp treatment on their list of “100 Things Worth Every Penny.” So it amounts to this, to me it's probably out of my range to use as my regular hair care product line but I'm sure the high price is based on their products being produced with pure botanicals and essential oils at potent, unheard-of-in-the-industry concentrations according to one interview with Phillip B. the owner.Is this 5 Star review warranted, you bet it is. Can I afford it over the long term probably not since I'm currently retired and living on a fixed income. Would I recommend it to the more fortunate ones that can afford his products, definitely!

this was a fine shampoo, but from a cost value perspective, it was nota product that felt was a must find and get. was pefectly fine but not a wow

This is a nice shampoo, but I don't think it's particularly spectacular. The price per ounce is very high, and I haven't seen results that justify the price.The good things about it is that I don't need to use very much to clean my hair, and does seem to reduce the amount of shedding I see in the shower. It leaves my hair soft, shiny, and healthy.The shampoo has a light herbal scent (maybe lemongrass?). I'm not a huge fan of the scent, but because it's not a strong odor, I don't mind it too much.I'll continue to use the bottle that I received, but I will not be ordering it again.

So, I can’t review the brands choice in creating this small bottle (holds 3/4 cup of product) and pricing it quite high. It’s a luxury item, by American hair stylist and entrepreneur Philip Berkovitz. I was made aware of this brand at the local luxury department store.Moving on, the shampoo is applied directly to hair, before any water. They recommend a scalp massager, so I am using the 2 I have already (a large silicon Amazon item, and a popular detangler brush). This shampoo is a scalp treatment, and made with:- Redensyl, Niacin and Caffeine to help improve everything to result in less shedding.- Keratin Amino Acids condition hair and scalp.- Green Tea and a natural Wood Extract provide antioxidant supportHow to use:- Apply directly to oiled hair before adding water.- Gradually add water and massage into a lather with the Scalp Massager.- Leave on for two minutes before rinsing off.For best results, continue with the Scalp Booster Leave-In Conditioner. I do couple this product with the recommended conditioner, and hesitant to purchase the other products (due to price).Product is infused with high concentrations of botanicals, are paraben-free and contain natural fragrances. Honestly, smells divine. And hair is soft and shiny.

My head tingled and burned when I used this shampoo. The smell was overpowering at first. It has a very strong botanical smell. After a while it's actually very pretty. By then my face was starting to tingle as well and I had already washed out the shampoo. It says to leave on for 1-3 minutes. I could not do more than a minute because the burning, tingling was getting very bad. My lips also started to tingle at that point and I had difficulty breathing. I assumed it was an allergic reaction to the shampoo but my skin was completely fine. No swelling or anything. I washed with regular shampoo afterwards and was completely fine. I am not sure I'm going to try this again. The extra star is for the smell only.
