AddiBook winding instead of knitting English - 1pc

I recently bought the Addi Express Kingsize Knitting Mill and wanted a patterned book to go with the machine. This book is the updated version of the other book and currently in my bookcase. However its a great book to start new projects which I've seen a few which I would like to try out this summer =) =)

Was disappointed with the patterns, not what I expected, too many “home” patterns, not enough wearable ones.

I purchased this book but have had to return it as I am a complete beginner and the patterns, apart from not being very nice, were all using specified yarn which is difficult to get here in the UK and then the methods were way beyond anything I could understand.

Looks just the ticket. Can't wait to use my new Winder in a new more confident light.

It will only knit double knit up as thin and lacy. To get a more solid knit you have to use Aran or chunky. Had it a month and I can knit a tube but NOT a flat piece ... not as useful as I thought it would be ...instructions are not good even in the extra book of patterns for it that I bought

To follow the pattern is very difficult, took one look and tried to work it out, just put the book down somewhere

I haven't made anything from the book yet, but from what I've read, if you know how to use your Addi Professional the knitting is very easy. However, the book does give you information on circular knitting and flat knitting on the Addi Professional so I believe someone new to the Addi will be able to make the Wooly Family. The book also has templates to make eyes, ears, beaks, feet, etc.

If you are new to using any machine, this book is not going to help you use your knitting machine at all. If you don’t know the basics of using your daily machine, you’re not going to find it out by ordering this book. Very little detail.
