Comfortable straight out of the box!
I have feet like a duck. So finding a pair of boots that are incredibly comfortable straight out of the box is fantastic. For me, the main pros are that they're comfortable, waterproof, they have incredible grip, and look and feel more like walking boots rather than work boots. The shape of the sole is similar to a running shoe in that it curves up towards the toe, making them really good for walking along the towpath and the great outdoors. The only con, is the high price. I had a pair of these boots a few years ago, and loved them. However, when they finally needed replacing, the price had gone up past my budget at the time. More recently I've been wearing the similar looking DeWalt 'Hadley', but I'm really glad to switch back to these!BUY A SIZE UP FROM YOUR USUAL!!!

Good boots BUT!
Boots are very well made and sturdy very comfortable but ,I work as a plumber which involves a lot of driving going up ladders, that's where the problem comes in .the soles are so thick and the toe caps so big ,that you have no feel in your toes so when you're driving you tend to press the pedals too hard because you can't feel them ,also when going up ladders it's hard to tell how far on the ladder your feet are and the toe caps tend to hit everything. These boots are not very good for walking long distances they are heavy and you tend to clump around the place. So if your job involves working outdoors and not walking very far ,then these boots are ideal because they are very warm ,dry and indestructible.Ive had these for a month now and they are growing on me ,they where amazing through the snow completely waterproof and cosy now my feet are used to them they feel great ,I was perhaps a little tough on them in the beginning just give them time

Good general work boot
I bought these to serve several different jobs. Working on site and walking the dog in the fields.Quite a wide fitting too. The lining is pretty thin i wouldn't say they are particularly warm but get some decent socks and insoles and they are a pretty comfortable boot. I spent 10-12 hours a day wearing these. It says they are waterproof but I'd suggest you water proof them yourself asap. Mine began to leak around the seams. The exterior wears very well but the lining at the heal rubbed through withing 3-4 weeks but again with decent socks its not really an issue. They are certainly worth a look.

Make a good hiking boot!
I bought my first pair of these back in 2015. I have got fed up of paying for hiking boots that start leaking or coming apart after just a few months and I simply refuse to pay £200 or more for so called quality hiking boots. Their water resistant properties are excellent and only started leaking after about 20 months. I have walked half the length of Scotland in them as well as hundreds of miles around Derbyshire and other places. Even when they started leaking, I repaired them with Wilko rubber glue and still have them 3 years later. Also had them re-heeled. I am a bit less confident with their water resistance now, but will certainly continue using them in dryer weather. I have just bought a second pair for wet walking. Recommend using dubbing wax on them to maintain water resistance and leather quality. For walking comfort, I bought some gel-active insoles. Perhaps the only drawback as a hiking boot is the steel toe cap giving them extra weight, but I soon got used to it. My second pair was actually cheaper than first pair. If Dickies produced the same boot without the steel-toe cap, this would be an ideal hiking boot!

Great boots but extortionate price
I have bought these boots twice before and was looking to buy them again as I found them extremely comfortable, durable and they keep my feet warm. However, there is no way I'm paying £80 for them when last time 2 year ago and 2 years before that I paid less than £50. I'm disgusted at the price increase. I'll continue looking.

great brand heartily recommended.
I work in logistics in a large warehouse, concrete floors overall, these have great support, hard wearing in dry conditions ( numerous people have stated these are not wet weather suitable ) after 8 months of continuous daily wear, the only thing i have had to do is buy gel arch supports - a personal medical thing - i am buying another back up pair as my employer pays.Buy heel cups with your shoes and feel the amazing comfort. finally i have shoes which i am fine with wearing 9 hours a day.

Waterproof but not the most comfortable
These boots have been on my feet, since I brought them 3 months ago, I'm a professional gardener and work outdoors all winter, I hate having cold wet feet, so I gave these a try, and so far been pleasantly surprised. They have proven to be warm and waterproof upto the ankle (walking through deep puddles - not standing submerged). I haven't had them leak yet and the thinsulate lining in combination with my thermal socks is keeping me warm.My only criticism is that they are a bit odd fitting, I have to pull the laces very tight, so that they don't rub, and the top lace loops seem to low so that the boot is tight around the very top of your foot with no support to the leg, which makes the padded collar redundant. This may well be just me but I have had other Dickies boots in the past of the same size and they have fitted fine??I would recommend them for the warmth and dryness alone, as anyone who works outdoors will tell you, you can't put a price on dry warm feet when it is -5 and you've stepped in a puddle 20 minutes into the working day. Also may be worth pointing out that I drive in them fine as well but this could be due to the odd fit ??
