A must have for apartment renters or any home in general as it provides more security and peace of mind. Comes with clear instructions and upon testing it its pretty durable. I stood on the outside while someone was inside and with the door slightly open i pushed on it hard several times with minimal movement. Does its job and can be adjusted to any length.

I have a whole house security system covering doors and windows, but I always worried about entry through the basement. It’s 2-stories lower and on the other side of the house from the bedrooms, so it would be hard to hear someone trying to break in. Whether or not the alarm was triggered, I wanted a way to stop them from getting through the basement door. This thing is sturdy, not like the thin bars I’ve seen in stores. The top fits perfectly around my door knob, and you can adjust the length so the bottom grips the floor. And it does grip the floor! The floor grip is on a slant, so it hits the floor flat. I have wood floors so I can’t say how it would do on carpet, but I feel confident that it would give us enough time to alert the police and get to a safe location. It doesn’t cost a lot, and I think the added security is worth it. I’ll report back if I’m unfortunate enough to have to test its performance (It’s compact enough that I’d take it with us on vacation.)

I bought this for staying in a downtown Airbnb that had a coded lock, just for peace of mind. Wish I'd bought it earlier, it's fantastic! Super easy to use, rubber foot doesn't scratch the floor and grips quite well. Now I use it at home as a second measure to my deadbolt. Lightweight but build is sturdy.
