My Secret Fairy Garden (HB) Hardcover – Big Book, 21 Sept. 2001

I love these books - they essentially are largish slim books that open out into gorgeous fairy themed dolls houses in seconds! My three year old plays for hours with them, and they are so useful for holidays and when we are staying in a house with no toys.They come with press-out fairy fully dressed paper dolls, and have a pretty envelope incorporated into the book to store them in. The 'book' opens up into a gorgeously constructed natural world with fairies peeping out, doors and windows to open/go through, stair cases, balconies. The construction is incredible! With a lot of enthusiastic play (My little girl is playing with her's while I write), three months later, with minimal tape repairs (gaffer is strongest!) it still looks almost like new. Wonderful!

I only recently came across Maggie Bateson pop up books, and I was amazed! They are so charming and fun, my daughters have spent a lot of time playing with them, there are a lot of paper characters to pop out to play with the fairy garden, I really recommend this 🙂

Like these pop up books. Unfortunately the paper figures do get torn easily and some of the smaller it's get lost, but the kids spend hours playing with the different scenes.

Such a lovely birthday present. I was so delighted with the quality of the garden, when the book is ‘popped up ‘ and having the little pockets to keep the fairies in is such a lovely idea

What a beautiful book. I bought this book a few years ago for my friend’s daughter and have bought it again for my soon to be born granddaughter.
