everyone saying that it does not offer as much overdrive as they would like, is correct
First, everyone saying that it does not offer as much overdrive as they would like, is correct. I would have hoped that it offered a little more but thats ok. Im using it in high gain applications so its just boosting my signal. The bass knob is nice but cant seem to find that sweet spot where it is not TOO much bass or no bass....its a decent pedal and will continue to use it!

Great Dirt Box
I bought this after reading quite a few online discussion forums that were singing its praises, and I have to say that those comments were spot on. I am using the GR as a replacement for a TS9 Tube Screamer re-issue. The TS9 is a fine box, but it does seem to lose a little something in the low end, and I find that the tone control is not that useful for tweaking the sound. The Rhino allows the user to address that concern by virtue of the 100 hertz adjustment, and allows additional tweaks via the Curve adjustment. The tone control also seems to have a greater usable range. Not only does the GR work well alone, but it plays well when stacking gain boxes. I am currently running the GR as a clean boost into a Fulltone OCD v4, and the combination is quite nice sounding with my rig. The box appears to be very well made and was well packaged. I don't think you can go wrong with this pedal.

One Greenie To Rule Them All
Recently went to see a great big famous blues artist who is known for his vintage guitar collection and offstage trucker hats. He used to sport a giant pedalboard that was endlessly analyzed and discussed on places like the gearpage etc. his entire rig now consists of a Green Rhino and a couple of high-power Fender twins. I can see why. Take what you always loved about the tube screener in any of its various incarnations and add the ability to pawnshop the "balls" factor from 1 to 11. Add another small pot that allows you to set The peak mid range "bump" and then make sure that it has the controls you were familiar with like drive and level and tone. I have alot of pedals. For $129 this one is the one to beat - so I bought two of them!

Poor sound
No really an over drive. a little gain, at best. Go with a Boss Blues driver. Much better sound.

AMAZING OD!!!
Hi there. I am the proud owner of 3 Way Huge pedals. I own the Swollen Pickle, the Fat Sandwich and now the Green Rhino, and I love them all. The Green Rhino is as close as you're going to get to natural tube distortion without diming a real tube amp. I have a Fender Blues Deluxe amp and you have to really crank it to get that nice tube distortion, but it sounds amazing once you get there. This sounds incredibly similar to my BD when it is overdriven. It also works quite well to get natural distortion out of the amp at slightly lower volumes, as it boosts your signal. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PEDAL!!!!

One of the best overdrives
The Green Rhino is one of the best overdrive out there. It gives a very natural tube-like distorted sound. I combine the GR with a Big Muff and the sound and sustain is amazing. I recommend this product 100%.
