This is fine for reference BUT follow what it says, not what it does. This book attempts to provide examples but visually fails. Example: the font is not italicized when showing when to use italics.

I bought this book to use for my doctoral program, as I needed to familiarize myself with APA style since I've been out of school for a while. The information in this guide isn't just unhelpful, it is blatantly wrong. Here's just one example: APA style requires italicizing for books and periodicals yet I don't believe I saw a single instance of italicizing in the book. Thankfully, Amazon agreed to refund my money, which I promptly used to go buy the *real* APA manual (which is totally worth the money, btw).

If you are getting this to help you to write anything other than very simple papers it will not be helpful. I was hoping for a guide to help me with my citations for many different types of sources, and it has not proved any more helpful than the internet.

Bought this book for school. Not exactly a page turner, but book came in pristine condition.

The book came in great condition. Aside from that I love how well detailed and clear the book is. The examples also help out a lot.

They finally developed a useful APA book with the tabs to help you find each section easily.

A really useful book. The information is really helpful in helping me grasp the changes in the 7th edition and is the ideal size. The pages have the same thickness and texture as any other textbook I've used. fits with my laptop in my shoulder bag for days when I'm on the run.

Goodness gracious! Even though this information is common knowledge, having my book on hand to understand how to properly style a certain sort of reference is incredibly handy. I like it over having it available solely online.

There were actual mistakes in this book compared to the actual 7th edition. Also, lots of repetition, maybe to make the book look bigger? I wouldn't trust this to write my grad papers. Buy the official APA edition
