Absolutely gripping text.
I liked everything about the book -- Griffith's serious engagement, her articulations and also a deep-rooted political vision of the world marked by the culture of the primordial.

Beware - this book is a retitled reprint.
Just to be clear. This is the same book that was published previously as Wild: An Elemental Journey but with a new title from an American imprint. It's a great book and if you haven't read it you should but I have to say I feel rather ripped off by this repackaging and retitling. Rather surprised Griffiths allowed it to happen.

Great anthropology read
I enjoyed reading this book, and what we can learn from indigenous societies, and the author’s adventures fascinating.. a book about what can be done for the planet...some serious use of 4-letter words, so not for everyone.
