Corsair succeeds again.... BUY WITH CONFIDENCE
Great purchase! Corsair have done it again... I cannot fault them as a company... I have their Vengeance and Vengeance LPX RAM in both Gaming PC's at my home... also have Corsair SSD's and the K70 Gaming Keyboard so I'm very much aware about their brand and the quality that comes with the brand Corsair and that doesn't stop when it comes to making smaller devices such as this Flash Drive...It's a great size, not too big that it's an obstruction and not too small to the point where it can be lost... It's 23.3mm x 11.1mm x 54.3mm. The Flash Drive itself is 32GB and is formatted in FAT32. The USB has a sliding mechanism to help keep the USB 3.0 protected and undamaged when it is being carried around which initially from the package it is very stiff, but as soon as it's been used it weakens up so that it can slide in and out easier and clicks/locks when fully open or closed.Previously to this, I had a OTG memory stick by Lexar which had both a USB 3.0 and a Micro USB adapter but it soon broke after 2 years of use and around 3 weeks into it, the sliding mechanism broke and so did the Micro USB Adapter.... this forced me to purchase this flash drive which I use this flash drive for school work only, however it's more than capable enough to have movies and other forms of media stored onto it and it being used to watch movies or play music from... I ran a test on CrystalDiskMark which scores will fluctuate up and down and it is also dependant on the PC it is on... however my PC has been on all day and has multiple programmes running also using the CPU and the scores still came back impressive and MORE than enough for Files, Pictures, Documents, Music and Movies. When the USB is in use, there is a blue LED which indicates whether the USB is reading or writing any data and there is also a plastic loop by the LED so that you can tie a rope or clip to it putting it onto your set of keys so that you don't loose it.Overall... I highly recommend this product... If you are looking for a durable, high quality Flash Drive, then look no further... you are investing into one of the best brands when it comes to computing and storage and the form and function of the USB make it a great purchase over other brands which are making very small USB's and also cheaply made USB's which will just get lost and misplaced... Also there are variants ranging from 16GB up to 128GB so you are really spoilt for choice, depending on how fat your wallet is :)

Very neat and easy to use.
I am not technically minded and also using tonight on a new computer I have nothing to compare with however I can say it is very small and neat. Smaller than expected i.e very approx just 2.25" long and about 0.75" wide. I bought the X2. I was keen to have the slide mechanism and that is firm but easy to use. I bought Corsair based on the computer man using his 500GB hard drive to down load my docs/music/pictures to my new computer. From his hard drive a total of 114GB took 40mins the other night. Tonight it took longer. 58GB of docs took 1 hour but I was using the X2 in a USB hub so seeing what difference it made plugged straight into computer I'm pleased to say I got better speeds in time. 15mins to download 10GB of pictures and then 40 mins to download 114GB of music. Like i say not technically minded so am probably talking in laymans terms but all info successfully transferred and if I note anything relevant as I continue to use it in the months ahead I will come back and add comments. Overall a neat product.

Fantastic
Nice and fast write but the read like any fast stick is rather slow.I got a constant 180mBps write spead but only 33 constant read spead. This was writtent to a Samsung SSD 850 EVO 500GB.Worth 5 stars for the price and I am very happy with it.It is natural to have a slower read speed anyway and that is why they always show the write speed on the listings and not the read speed.I think it is a lovely well made stick and is not too bulky. L 55mm - W 25mm - D - 12mm. Same when it's open or closed. It is solid and not flimsy like some of the good makes but of course CORSAIR is in my opinion the best.It lives up to it's spec and does have a very fast write speed and that is dependent on what hard drive you have or what rig you have.Compatible also with USB2 but do not expect it o be fast on a USB2 setup.I recommend these and mine was the 128GB version.

Not quite as well built as expected
When holding the USB connector with one hand and the rubber housing with the other, its possible to wobble the stick within the housing slightly. This wobble can be felt when inserting into a USB port, it's not as rigid as expected (the rubber housing moves slightly independently from the inner stick itself). Also, there is no way to attach the cap to the main part of the USB stick to prevent it from being lost when removed. I ended up using some thread to loop around the plug at the top of the cap and tie it through the lanyard hole at the bottom of the stick. This isn't ideal but works.

Not as advertised but good enough.
29 August 2014Just received it. Initialy I ordered from a third party seller called Dhamaka Ltd who apparently never actually dispatch their products, they are there just to get the orders(read customer reviews). I still don't understand why Amazon would keep sellers like that. Amazon immediately refunded me as a gift card and I used it to order directly from Amazon this time. Item arrived super quickly. Now to the actual item. I run the ATTO disk benchmark and chose total length of 2GB. Maximun results that I received were Read up to 130MB/s and Write up to 84MB/s. Real life test copying a large MKV file (34GB) from my HDD to the flash drive and vice versa showed READ final speed of 117MB/s and WRITE of 86MB/s, pretty close to the benchmark result. This is not as advertised but it rarely is. If this flash drive proves to be durable then I recommend it as it is fast and quite robust. Bear in mind that the stick size is larger than the classic 32GB Corsair Voyager but I don't mind it at all.I will be reporting as time passes if the stick continues to work properly.

Very fast
Very good, well made and sturdy. But a little too thick when using with a Surface Book2, it prevents the computer sitting flat on the desk. (minor problem)
