Excellent book
An excellent book for the beginner. It takes you through all the fundamentals in a very easy to read and understand manner. I confirmed my left eye dominance using this book and and learnt how to compensate for it. Good explanation of the terms used by those in the know but which baffle those of us new to the sport. A friend of mine who is a seasoned clay shooter saw me reading this book, had a quick flick through the pages and wouldn't put it down. This book is worth every penny, if you're new to the sport or an old hat who still thinks he can learn something, get this book.

If you are a shooter buy this book
I bought this book when I took up shooting earlier this year. Although I had taken some lessons I only really understood some of the basics once I had read this book - in particular the concept of shooting with both eyes open and looking at the target and not the barrels. As I have progressed with my shooting I still refer to "The Book" to refresh my knowledge and to dip into the many hints and tips on various targets.I have met many experienced shots who also use "The Book" on a regular basis. It is a good read; well presented; and written in very clear language. If you are a clay shooter, buy this book.

Excellent Book
This without doubt is the best book I have read on the subject - and I have read many over the last 25 years. It covers all the essentials, methods and techniques that need to the learnt. This is important as different targets sometimes need different approaches. There are many poor books out there (the only others worth reading imho are those by John King) but if you only want one book on the subject then this is the one I would recommend. There are also some good articles on shotgun shooting written by Keith Coyle on the web - but sadly they don't appear in book form.

Great all round book from a world class coach
I bought this book when returning to sporting clays after a 15 year break, and I was reallyimpressed with the important chapters on gun fit, eye dominance, and technique, which are of vital importance for newcomers, and the tips for shooting sporting targets. I also found the chapter on the mental approach to shooting invaluable.I would definitely recommend this book to someone looking to start clay shooting, and a more experienced shot would certainly findsomething in it to improve their scores.Certainly the next best thing to a coaching session from the man himself.
