DON,T WASTE YOUR MONEY
expected more quality from a russel athetic product,, I wore them three hours lounging around the house and the crotch seam opened up. I am very dissatisfied with my purchase and the russel athletic products will NEVER be purchased by me again. this company makes big statements of their quality and how long they have been around,, well this companys quality has gone downhill big time. I am 54 yrs old and been buying this companys product my entire life like everything in the usa prices are going up and quality is going down and russel athletic has followed suit. the purchase of this product was a HUGE WASTE OF MONEY, read the reviews and believe them its true. BUY A DIFFERENT PRODUCT FROM A DIFFERENT COMPANY and get some value for your dollar......

Total garbage
Total garbage....frankly Amazon should be embarrassed selling this garbage. These pants could not have been made any more cheaply, the fabric is so thin after a couple of washes it was falling apart in my hands, the draw string so cheap that it broke into pieces just from being pulled taunt.. these "pants" are even too flimsy to go into the rag pile. Amazon owes everyone that bought these rags a full refund..I would return them but I refuse to spend the time rummaging through the trash to get all the scraps of cheap fabric together required for a return..MASSIVE DISAPOINTMENT in Amazon for selling such garbage...having bought Russel products In the past i have little doubt that these are not even Russel product but rather the absolutely cheapest most poorly made counterfeit cloths ever made..

... corporate greed.
The pants are fine. But the price increase ought to be looked at by someone in authority. I bought two pairs of these in 2017, the last pair in April, and both were $7.21 each. But now they are asking $33 for exactly the same pant ? I wish my income was expanding at the same rate. However can Russell Athletic justify this massive 400% price increase in less than a year ? This sort of thing is happening more often lately, though this is the worst example i have yet seen. Isn't there a consumer watchdog agency anymore ? Surely the public needs protecting from such blatant price gouging.

By a thread...
Where to begin...so the good news is the pants are a nice lightweight material but, it goes down hill from there. First, if they are Russell athletic wear (highly unlikely), they ate factory secons at best. They are poorly sized and too large. The waistband stiching has more hanging strings than a tree has branches and, let's not talk about the left pocket, stiched halfway down the length of the opening?? A toddler could not get a hand in there! Given the price, I suppose I shouldn't have expected more but, this was a prime item. Frankly, I'm wondering where the QC is on this stuff. That said, they'll make a fair sleeping pant for as long as the stiching holds up...I don't expect that will be long.

Making Do
I've never bought Russell before. This is the first time the product has been too small from what I normally get in the same size from other brands. The legs, in particular, are not as loosely fitting as other brands. Reebok seems to be the best, truest fit, with roomy legs. Russell's 5X feels like a 4X from Reebok. The Reeboks are hard to find, so I tried these instead. It's all about what you want, I guess. People with thinner legs would be OK with this cut. The Reeboks in the same size would probably drown you in the legs. Bottom line, these are fine for someone with a bigger waist and thinner legs. If you have the waist AND thicker legs, these might be a bit too snug. The only reason I give them 3 stars is because - since they are made of cotton - they will likely stretch out in the legs over time. I'll end up making do, but I wouldn't get them again.

Decent Construction and Fit
Make no mistake, the material on these pants is thin. Think t-shirt material. If that's what you're looking for, as I was, then you won't be surprised. If you're looking for something heavier, like sweat pants, this isn't your product. I can only speak to initial quality at this time but I'm happy with my purchase. At first glance, the elastic in the waste band seemed weak, but they have held up without issue without my needing to tie the drawstring. They are comfortable and appear to be decently made. My one gripe with them is the Russell logo that is printed on the front of the left leg. The logo is printed in a material that feels almost tacky when I rub my hand across it - almost like I spilled something sticky on them. We'll see how they hold up to being washed multiple times, but they're good so far.

Less Loose Threads Than Champion's Pants
Unfortunately, these Russell pants are very much like Champion's version but at least with a lot less loose threads - the royal blue pants packaging said "sleepwear" while the other colors did not - they are made of the same thin tacky feeling cloth of the Champion pants so neat folding is a chore. The true jersey sweats of a few years ago are just no longer made and these are much thinner so wearing them outside on a raw windy day is not a good idea - this is merely an example of a company cutting down choices and manufacturing costs for more profit.

Not made for 6'6" or taller
I'm a tall guy, at 6'6" and these just are not long enough. You also have to be careful in drying with the shrinkage, and since I have not even washed these, I'm not impressed, though I need them for going in to the hospital when they take the tumor out of my spinal cord to wear around. I'm going to try another manufacturer to see if they are longer. Sadly, I'll have to take my XLT legs somewhere else.

Pocket partially sewn up....
When they arrived I quickly tried them on and liked the fit for the waist and the length. I was also very happy that they were not a heavy weight fleece, perfect for wearing indoors and for quick trips out in cold weather.Today when I went to wear them for the first time, I found the left side front partially sewn shut for some reason, in the middle of the pocket with about 8 stitches. So, I will have to carefully remove the stitches to be able to use the pocket. That is why I am giving the 3 stars instead of 5...

Sizes Don't Match
I bought two pairs, but each was a different fit. I like them both very much, but there appears to be a discrepancy in size, even though both were marked the same. I'd still buy them again, since both pairs DO fit - one is just a bit looser than the other. I think the looser pair is the one that is wrongly sized. The pair that fits as expected is the slightly smaller one. They are lightweight and comfortable, and I'm generally happy.

Questionable sizing.
Let me start by saying that I’m 6’7” and about 235lbs. Pant sizing for me typically falls between a large-tall and extra large-tall. These are WAY bigger than expected. WAY. If you are seven feet tall and pushing 350 lbs, these pants are for you. Ridiculous. Also, the quality, as compared to standard Russell sweatpants is questionable. Thin material.

Excellent for the Tall Man
My husband is very tall and cannot buy off the shelf. He finds products limited at the 'big & tall men stores' and very expensive (he is paying for the bigger guys). This was perfect, the price was wonderful compared to specialty stores and when he found they fit, he returned to buy more.

Nice but overpriced.
Nice and light, but I don't think that justifies a higher price than most of the sweats. Also, some of the stitching started "unravelling" after about 7 days of wear.
