I bought this in order to use as a three string capo as my Shubb capo is too short for my eight string guitar, (has to cover two octave strings too. )So for me, it does what it says on the tin as I can adjust to get it just right.I don’t use it on my other guitars though as it isn’t quick to set up, despite the advertising saying otherwise.Some very good aspects though, should you consider it.1. You can vary the pressure on the strings individually, so they remain in tune.2. Experimenting with tunings is easy and you may find something of interest.3. Well made and solid.

Unfortunately, I couldn't really get it to work consistently, or to a standard that would be sufficiently good for public performances.If I had more than one guitar, I might persist on a guitar with a lower tuning but, in standard tuning, there is insufficient pressure applied to stop each string properly without some buzzing.

What a great gadget this is! I can't recommend it highly enough. For anyone who wants to try different tunings then this is for them. Of course it also works as normal capo.

I was very skeptical about this thing. The negative reviews were pretty convincing. But in practice it's pretty good. So far it has held up to extensive use well and it doesn't damage the guitar neck like I feared it might from aforementioned reviews. It's the ONLY capo I have tried which can comfortably cover a 7-string classical guitar neck properly.
