The hardest part about setting this up was figuring out the portion sizes. If you feed your cats the same amount I do, I’ve got it figured out for you. We feed both of our cats 1 cup of dry food per day. I have split that amount into 4 portions through out the day.9am = 5 portions which is equivalent to 1/4 a cup12am = 5 portions15pm (3pm)= 5 portions18pm (6pm)= 5 portions.It does go off military time, the handbook has a guide for times in case you don’t know. We purchased this shortly before going on vacation to make it easier for our cat sitters and it has turned out to be a game changer. Our 2 cats no longer meow for hours before dinner because they know we aren’t responsible for feeding them anymore and we can easily spread their meals out. The splitter works well to make sure each bowl gets the same amount of food and the cats are now conditioned to run whenever they head the pink of cat food. It was pretty easy to program with the instructions, although they don’t provide a guide for portion sizes. I recommend pressing the manual feed button for one portion and measuring that out to figure out how many portions you need per day.

I got this automatic feeder for my cats because I’m going out of town and can’t find anyone to feed them while I’m gone. This feeder had good reviews, was affordable, super cute, and there was an additional coupon on it, so I figured why not?Initial setup was pretty simple, and I looooove that this feeder uses 24-hour time format! That way I’ll never get AM/PM mixed up! I’m still figuring out what portion settings are best for my cats but the distribution of food between the two bowls is pretty even. Today is day 1 and I’m already pleased!I did a recording for the feeding time and the sound is lacking, but maybe that’s my own error as it’s a bit unclear as to where the mic actually is. I’m really super hoping this feeder works well because the price was amazing with the good reviews!!

It took me a while to set the feeding times, but it works nicely. It comes really handy when I have to travel for a couple of days. My cats already love it and run each time the food drops.

I have 2 cats less than a year old and they come running the second they hear their kibble being dispensed. You can set 6 different feeding times and different posrtion sizes. Great if your trying to make sure your pets don't over eat!

The media could not be loaded.  We bought two of them and absolutely love it. We have four cats and this product makes our life so much easier. It was simple to use and put together. I hardly needed to use the instructions.

The clock/timer failed to work. It was set to feed them 3 times a day but would only do one time and couldn’t change clock at all.

This works really well, unfortunately I had to take 2 starts off for 2 separate reasons. 1. You can’t connect this to an app. Maybe that’s on me because I assumed you could, but you can’t. And 2. My cats EASILY pull this apart. They pull the bowls from the base and then the divider off, so essentially all the food spills onto the floor. I have tile, so not the end of the world, but this would be gross on carpet. Additionally, the stainless bowls come out extremely easy as well, I ended up using some clear packing tape to attach them to the base rings.Pros - the top piece twists and locks so my cats haven’t figured out how to open it (this was an issue with my last auto feeder). Also, there is battery backup so if the power goes out, or my cats unplug it (also an issue) no big deal. The programming stays even when unplugged as well, even with no batteries in the unit. So you don’t have to re-program.Despite me taking stars off, and really the first complaint should only be 1/2 a star, I do like the feeder and will keep using it. My review is just an honest opinion!
