Dog loves it
It has been raining non-stop for the past few weeks, and we were having trouble making sure our dog didn't need a full blow-dry after going out. This umbrella has been a game-changer for us. It works perfectly, and she really likes it because she can see through it and see us. The only downside is that the umbrella is already starting to bend a bit, so the metal part could stand to be sturdier.

you get what you pay for
We hardly made it out of our gate before the entire thing broke. My dog (65 lbs) hadn't even pulled at all, and the umbrella broke quickly as it touched another surface. My dog and I were both confused as to what happened, but regardless it would have happened. If your dog has any pull whatsoever-- the chain/handle will break and the umbrella is just very cheap and cheaply made. I think a dog raincoat, traditional umbrella or even a better built, more expensive pet umbrella would be the best call.

Yessss! No more wet dog... and owner
I hated going out in the rain trying to manage an umbrella and a leash with a puppy oblivious to the rain. And it's even worse when we come inside soaking wet. There had to be a better way....This doggie umbrella is it. I always laughed and shook my head at people who dressed their pets up, put them in carriages/ baby strollers and used umbrellas. Now I'm one of them.....and I love it.I'm able to easily maneuver from the rain, keep the dog drier and be the envy of my neighbors. WOO HOO!!!While the concept is great (and a lil weird) it does have its drawbacks. It may take a few outings to get the dog used to being connected to a plastic bubble. The first four outings my puppy wasn't feeling it and we both stood out in the rain as he refused to move and let me cover him. I caught the flu, he was fine. Eventually he got used to it and now we both remain dry. WIN - WIN.I just wish the connector to the leash was longer but it's not a dealbreaker.

Surpisingly sturdy and well made
I was happily surprised that the umbrella is sturdy. It's far enough away from my dog's head where it did not weird him out. He was able to walk normally. For me, as a short person, it fit perfectly. A taller person might find the leash a bit short, but the umbrella has to stay close to the dog's head in order to keep the dog dry. The length makes sense in that context.

Only good for small dogs
Tried to use with my big dog . It broke

Sturdy but chain is too long.
Item seems pretty sturdy but the chain is not adjustable and my dog walks out of the umbrella.

Disappointed
Even the second one was defective!!! I was first sent a defective item. The handle doesn't fit on the rod so I can't even put it together to use it.. so I returned it and I was sent a new one 5 days later but guess what?! The same exact problem occurred! Coincidence?? I think not... Do NOT waste your time or money. Although they gave a full refund, they didn't pay for the gas to drop off both items, the frustration it caused or the week of rain we had here where my pup was soaked from the week long rain. Go with a better product from a creditable company that actually works and be satisfied the first time around.
