Q: Someone please explain how my chocolate lab will not push this over?

Mine sets against the entry so that each end is against the wall. I also use the support legs that you can purchase separately. I haven’t had any problem with my 70 pound Pitbull puppy knocking it over.

Q: What keeps this gate from not falling down if pet pushes it?

The panels are placed askew to one another not in a straight line! The panels are very sturdy and I have found them to remain upright even when my dog jumps up on them. I tried to give them a good push, they moved but did not fall over. I will never consider buying any other kind of gate.

Q: How far apart are the slats?

They’re about an inch apart. I really don’t recommend this product. It started falling apart one day after I got it. Both “feet” split in half.

Q: How wide is the 3 panel vs the 4 panel? I have an opening 54” wide that needs a gate.

Each panel is just about 20 1/4 inchs wide. I held our up straight and three panels measured 60 inches. The four all together was approximately 80 all together. Hopes this helps.
