excellent progression & cultivation fantasy continues
The MC, Aiden and his team continue to advance, using techniques, resources, artifacts and knowledge from their recent trial and their teachers. They get challenged by new adversaries who are in league with forgotten foes. This series is one of my top 5 progression fantasies. It is well written, thoughtful and engaging. The world building and characters seem real and not contrived so I highly recommend it.

Decent enough sequel, but crafting and training is becoming repetitive
Aiden and friends can go home victorious, but the trip is far from save and they are asked to check upon the ruins they discovered on their way towards the championship. In between Aiden trains, crafts and fights for his and his friends' lives. The volume has the same strong and weak points as the previous ones. World building is good, characters are okay if a tad one dimensional, and the plot is simple if somewhat absent for the most part due it being more slice-of-life than anything. Which probably my biggest complaint at the volume, very little of significance happens except for the last 20% or so and even there I found the fights dragging out to some extent. Still, I enjoyed the book for the most part, hence the four starts (3.5 stars rounded up), but like many cultivation series it is reaching a point were something new needs to be added because crafting and training are becoming repetitive.

Good sequel
The entire series is a good take on Xianxia with an American twist. We still get a mix of cultivation growth and fighting, but more targeted. Plus some dungeon core stuff thrown in. For those coming to this new, there are also some harem elements but done tastefully.

This one definitely didn't disappoint
I have to say that this book series has been one of my favorites and I've read it over and over. This book definitely is the perfect follow up book. The thrill, action and adventure especially when they stopped back on the island was amazing. I'm eager to get the next book when it comes out. Hopefully I won't have to wait a year for it to come out. Keep up the great work with this because there's a few more books of possibilities in this storyline.

WOW. just wow
Yes, you could call this an ending point, but thank goodness it isn’t! I normally detest long series because frankly I bore easily. But I have been absolutely fascinated with this series from page one of book one.I will probably reread the entire series in February of next year to prepare for the next book. Man I hate waiting that long!

entertaining, but rushed.
I enjoyed the book, knocked it out in about two days. However the entire thing flew by quickly and felt like just a tiny part of the story. The contents of this book should not have been a whole book on its own. In fact this book really only has two major events and a training montage, with tiny tidbits of seeming filler sprinkled throughout to stretch the pages.Again, I enjoyed the story, and have since book one, but I feel this could have been condensed somewhat, or added to. For the next book to be slated a year out, and this one having taken roughly a year, it feels more like a 6.5 interlude than it does a book 7.

Too inconsistent and way too much hormone driven teens
Up until now, the plot line was somewhat holding. But contradictions are getting too big and conflicting. Also, I don’t mind gushing romance but it’s getting ridiculous. There’s a massive black portal of doom spawning, injured teammates and you’re flirting for a wood refill pill? That too a noble born who is supposed to be intelligent and smart with no sense of situational awareness?? Turning into a seed core does something to your hormones? Two books ago Jon was wolf whistling all the time and now it doesn’t translate? Aura suppression makes you vulnerable in boom two but you’re blasting away techniques in the middle of the street??

Interesting progression
This book felt like it wS to short, though that could be said of any good book. The mechanics are easy to understand and the continuation of the story and characters was smooth and you feel like there is a lot more books left in the series. The homecoming was the journey leaving only the final chapter or 2 left when they actually came home and seems I will be definitely read more books to come. Hurry up!

A good sequel
The book is a good sequel that follow the story without many novelties. Easy to read but not much exiting.

It is losing its breath a little
Some things I liked in this, the cultivation still, for example. But I get what other people were saying. We lose precious times on lewd innuendo, and jokes during a battle, utterly breaking the tension. There was quite a lot of filler, and the story dragged a bit, without giving us much for the price.I will continue reading, but the quality is decreasing, and the books are not on KU anymore.
