Frist time using aluminum wire, seems to work OK
I don't have a spool gun for my MIG welder but was told that if I kept the gun/hose straight I could probably get it to feed without getting a birds nest and jamming in the welder. It was also suggested replacing the liner in the hose with one made out of Teflon but since I didn't have one, I just decided try it keeping everything in a straight line and checking to see that the wire wasn't bundling up at the feed end. It did work and although I didn't notice is slipping it would probably be best to replace the liner. With regards to the wire - seemed to work OK. I have very (very) little experience welding aluminum so I have nothing to compare this wire with but it did weld after fiddling with settings. My welds didn't look good but I blame this on me and not the wire. Overall I'm pretty satisfied with this wire but certainly need more practice

Good aluminum MIG wire
This aluminum MIG wire works as it should (at least within my realm of welding skills). My weld quality with this wire is good and is likely limited by my skills/setup more than the wire.I don't have a spool gun for my MIG welder but do have a teflon liner I use for running aluminum wire. If I keep my 10ft MIG lead as straight as possible I can get this aluminum wire to feed decently and haven't had any issues with birds nesting inside the unit yet. I've also read that sizing up your contact tip one size above the wire size helps to reduce feed issues when doing aluminum MIG without a spool gun. I rarely need to MIG weld aluminum so this kluge setup works good enough for my needs instead of investing in a spool gun. Just remember that if you're going to do aluminum MIG you need 100% Argon gas for shielding, you cannot use your standard C25 or straight CO2 gas that you would use for steel MIG welding.

High quality product
Husband says it can be used. Good quality product for what it needs to be used for. You need the welding gun tool to use it

Welds aluminum well
I tried this wire in my Mig, it worked fine, but my machine really isn’t set up for aluminum. I have used this wire to Tig weld aluminum using my straight argon bottle. Tigging works great, I can weld thin material using this wire as filler. Just wipe the base and wire down with acetone to remove potential contamination. I straighten short pieces by spinning them with a drill, then you get a stiff, relatively straight piece of filler. Came packaged well and the spool fit right into my Mig and fed okay in my regular Mig gun with no burn back. Great stuff

Good Aluminum Welding Wire – ER4043 Alloy
This aluminum wire is ER4043 alloy which gives less smoke and soot than other alloys. It also runs hotter which can be good since aluminum rapidly conducts heat away from the weld. If you’re welding thinner stock, that can be an issue. It’s also softer than other alloys which can make it harder to feed. It really comes down to what you’re welding.Amazon Vine sent this product to me for an honest unbiased review. Would I recommend it? Yes, if you’re looking for a good ER4043 alloy aluminum wire for MIG welding this is a good choice.
