I was looking for another portable standing AC unit and this came in handy! It works great and is quiet too! Glad I bought it, it keeps my room very cool which is the size of a basement.

It get the job done only problem is that it sweats

We are renovating a home while living in it and installing a whole new system from gas to electric. Since this past summer the temps were in the triple feels like digits, we got this bad boy. We put it in our room which is a 12x13 or a little bit bigger, and it's kept it icy!! It's absolutely awesome! Amazon thankfully delivered it gently and carefully which is a major plus. We did have to make adjustments for it to not leak though. We got a super sturdy tall end table and set it on top of that so we could take the clear pipe it came with and insert it into the unit and pop it out of the window so it would keep running on super humid days. The window slide piece that you attach the vent to wasn't long enough for our window, but my husband had an extra piece of board insulation from our camper. So we put it all together and it works. We only had one or two instances where it froze up with ice, but it rained pretty hard and we didn't think about cutting it off, so that was our fault. (Hairdryers work pretty well for that!) I love this unit and Id buy another one.** I also thought I read something about heat on this one, just be aware that this unit is AC only. Just wanted to clarify for anyone who's looking for both.

Worse Amazon purchase I've ever made. The unit runs maybe a hour before it shuts off due to water tank being full. We had to purchase a large mop bucket and install the drain tube. The 3.5 gallon bucket has to be emptied every 6 hours! The exhaust tube gets more than hot! It heats up so much that the unit does not cool as much as it should. I wrapped the thin accordion exhaust tube with AC foam hoping to keep out the units own HEAR! I could have sent back, but seriously trying to repack a large item and tote it somewhere for pick up & paying return shipping was just not worth it. It will just be my largest purchase mistake ever. I DO not recommend this unit. Over the last 8 years I've purchased 6 different units and this is the most expensive & worse one! I hate it and will replace as soon as I can afford to spend another $300.

Well, I received my order, but the window insert was cracked. The seller didn't have any in stock so they offered me a $30 refund which I was okay with. Iused gorilla tape to reinforce the crack. It was very easy to install. The noise level was about what I expected, but it definitely was not quiet. Theproblem was the fact that the fan motor didn't work at all. You'd turn it on, the compressor would kick on but there wasn't any cold air coming out of it,just hot exhaust. So I contacted the seller again. By the way they were super fast with their responses each time. Without me having to prompt them, they immediately offered a full refund and said I didn't have to return the unit. They refunded my money within 12 hours. So, I was extremely impressed with the seller's ethics, I just wish the unit had worked.

Very Effective and reasonably priced

Unit ran most of the day in a motorhome, starting in early morning when internal RV temp was in 70s. By afternoon, the RV was really hot. If you sat in front of the AC unit, it blew cold air on you, but once you stood up and took one step away, you're blasted with hot temps. On day 2, we turned it off in the afternoon and the internal RV temp reading on the unit said 94°, even though we had AC set at 68° for more than 6 hours. It's performance is just lacking some gusto and couldn't keep up with an RV. We may edit our review once we try and use inside of a room, if it's any better.Instead of 1 star, I did give an extra star just because it feels good if you are sitting directly in front of it . That's the only positive I have on this
