First thing is that this unit does cool your room.I have a 11x9ft garden office and it (7000 BTU unit) got the room to the target temperature within about 5 minutes (measure using a separate thermometer) so that side of it is good. The unit seems well built and looks as nice as anything like this can do.It is quite noisy. I dont know if it is any more or less noisy than comparable units but if you are using this in a room to work in, you may struggle on calls or listening to music etc.The hose itself is quite rigid and not very long or flexible. I've had to position the unit on a chair in order for the hose to reach out the window. Clearly this is less than ideal.The window kit is only compatible with windows that open by sliding vertically. Most casement UPVC style windows are not compatible, so you simply have to dangle the hose out the window (if you can get it to reach) which is not very efficient, looks untidy and fiddly.So for the price, it is what I expected in terms of build quality and noise. However, the hose and window kit let it down.

I have been considering an Air con unit for some time and have looked through many reviews etc and finally decided on this one considering 4.5 stars. I am not disappointed, very well built, very good cool output which I have do doubt will cool the large double bedroom indended for use even on the low fan setting. Ideal for the potential heat wave we could get this year considering last year and on initial use would recommend. THE ONE DISSAPPOINTMENT is the day after I bought this it has gone down in price from £259.00 as there was an amazon £20 voucher option to now £236.95 before it had even arrived!. There appears to be no amazon customer service options to discuss this or request a refund in difference if possible. I would hate to consider a refund only to purchase again at the new price!! If the seller or amazon read this review I would appreciate consideration for the difference refunded either in vouchers or cash.

The unit does the job quite well and cools down the room, but the compressor automatically switches off from time to time even when the expected temperature is not reached yet. But it does a fairly decent job considering the price.

After a lot of time spent choosing the right sized AC unit and reading reviews for products I decided to go for the model however I have been disappointed, the unit eventually cools down a standard sized bedroom after a few hours but doesn’t do anything to my living room we’ve only had heat in the UK of 28 degrees so I hate to think of how this would perform of 30+, the window fitting is designed for windows of very dated hours I live in a modern flat (built this year) so I’m unable to use them. The cooling fan cuts out whilst in use the only way a room will stay cool is if you run it 24/7 which would cost a fortune to run. The delivery driver slammed the box down as it was delivered to my door and when I asked if it had been banged or hit on anything (damaged) he replied “I don’t know” and walked off. In all honesty for the money there are better products out there. I was borrowing a smaller AC unit off my friend before buying this which out performed this by far! If I’m being honest it’s not worth the money and I would avoid buying. I certainly won’t be buying cost way products in the future! Avoid

I bought this as was lead to believe it wouldn’t be too noisy. Trying it out for the first time over the last day and It’s so loud! Yes I have it on sleep mode, that quietened it a little but fan is on ‘low’ which is the sound level of a high on any other fans I have. It does cool and nice and compact, but it sounds like industrial machinery.

If your thinking about getting this air conditioner unit then do it, I read reviews each year and was put off by negative comments, but it’s honestly great and only slightly Lauder than a fan which is expected.

I realised this product wouldn't work with my windows, and the company kindly allowed me to reject the delivery that had already shipped, and refunded my order. The responsiveness from the supplier was very fast. You don't often get such great customer service nowadays!
