Super Bright. Comfortable. Perfect.
Exactly what you're looking for. Seems a little clunky out of the box, but once you have it properly fit, it's great! Bright and versatile with adjustable lens to focus the light. Very solid value.

Battery won't charge after 2 months of use
Won't charge. Battery lights don't even light up when plugged in.

Bright headlamp, with an odd “police light” feature.
The media could not be loaded. For camping or working around the house, I’ve recently “seen the light” on the utility of headlamps (:D)…so I now have headlamps stashed in the camp kit, the garage, the truck, etc. They’re just so handy, or “hands-free” rather (okay, last bad joke…I promise). These boast a “whopping 28000 Lumens”. I’ve noticed that flashlight sellers seem to be getting increasingly carried away with these claims. I can’t tell you whether this is 500 lm, 28,000lm, or more, but I will say that it is as bright as the handheld ones that take the 18650 (or 3AAA) batteries…and certainly much brighter than all of the other (3-AAA battery) headlamps I own.- It has a rechargeable battery with a charge indicator, which is fine, but I typically prefer the replaceable batteries, so that I can keep spares in hand, or swap them out when the go bad. The perfect solution would be a light that can charge AAA batteries, but I haven’t seen one yet.- Like most headlamps, I like that you can articulate the headlamp up and down on your head to adjust to your use.- Unlike many headlamps, I also like that you can widen/focus the beam like a handheld light. I haven’t used it “outdoors” yet, but I expect that this lamp will be great at night outdoors.- I really don’t like that the half-globe lens protrudes from the metal lens housing. It is definitely going to get scratched up over time…and likely broken if the headlamp is ever dropped.- Nice white light selection…center/focus beam, flood lights, or both.- The motion detection is a nice feature for when you have dirty or greasy hands, or just want to shut the light off for a minute to talk to someone without blinding them. And I suppose the green LED indicator is nice to let you know that the light is still “powered”. Also, you can use motion detection on any light mode, but once you change light mode, the motion switch resets. So you have to switch to the mode you want, and then enable motion detection.- The red and blue “police” lights are just silly to me, and frankly, would be downright dangerous if some silly kid decides to throw this on his car dashboard. I don’t see any practical use for them. I’d much prefer a solid red and/or green light for night map mode instead….or at least a white flasher/SOS.- The clamshell case is nice inclusion for portability and storage.Bottom Line:It’s a good, bright light…brighter than most headlamps. The focus/zoom capability is a nice feature, and the motion switch is very useful in certain situations. The police light mode is useless and just silly...a solid red light would have been much better.
