Do not skip on prep work
I’m pretty impressed by this limewash paint, my bathroom is now a relaxing oasis. 2 coats is the sweet spot if you want more “texture”. Do not skimp on the primer and sealer - especially in the bathroom.

More gray than expected
The paint went on well and it is beautiful but it's more grayish than what we expected.

More like latex then limewash
Paint did not match swatches were much much lighter and that killed the entire limewash effect it looked just like a latex paint finish so as I was dissatisfied I went to set up a return because I hadn’t used much at all and only a test , Well I discovered you have to pay to send back your item which like another reviewer said is half the cost of the paint and this company also charges a restocking fee and if they decide you have used more then they can restock to resell they will only give you a portion of the item cost back!Amazon should really take them off as “prime” because they are 3rd party so just beware

Overall a good product, although definitely a learning curve.
Update to bottom review: I tried to get creative with a two tone wall using Cote d’Azure on the ceiling and pink topaz on the wall. The pink topaz was SO pink, a very bright salmon. I then tried to whitewash it with some watered down Neutral paint and it was a disaster (see photo). I eventually mixed the pink and white together to get a softer pink, and tried to blend the pink and blue where they meet but it didn’t work so I ended with cloud-like bubbles. Overall it turned out okay but took tons of trial and error and lots of paint. Ended up being very time consuming and expensive. First photo is the first room I did with Côte d’Azur, subsequent photos show the process of the second pink and blue room.Overall, I like the look of the paint on the walls. If I was going to do it again, a few things I learned:- Buy the approved primer, not some random primer a dude at home depot says will work.- Make sure you buy the right brush, otherwise you will get paint everywhere in the room except the walls you are trying to paint.- Wait a full 24 hours between coats, otherwise you will end up removing the previous coat with your brush and have to start over.- Buy more paint than you think you will need.

Beware of their return policy
It was my first experience with lime wash paint and here is what I learned.Purchased Chevre first, wanted to have a subtle look. Did 3 coats and it was a mistake for sure bc lost most of the cloud patterns after the third coat. So stick to 2 coats. Then decided to purchase a little bit darker color to have more dimensions so I purchased another gallon of paint. Again changed my mind bc I actually liked the look of it, still better with just 2 coats but 3 didn’t look too bad in daylight. But since they have already shipped it, I couldn’t cancel the order. After I got the paint, tried to initiate a return, and realized that there is no free return, which is not fair bc it’s tagged as “prime”. Now I have an unopened can of paint that I won’t be using and don’t want to pay like half the price just to return it.

Great paint
Love this paint! It creates a soft, dimensional look a little like the Ralph Lauren suede, but with a softer texture. I used it in a bedroom for a child with significant allergies, and I love this color (I almost sent it back as I thought it looked a little green...but I replaced my lightbulbs with a clearer white..lighting makes a big difference with this paint). It’s easy to apply, but don’t try to stretch it too far...it can get translucent in a hurry. There are a lot of cautions about not letting the free edge dry, but I ran out of paint 1/2 way through a wall 😩 so I feathered and staggered the free edge, and (after a week when my next can of paint came in ) I was able to blend it through and there is no discernible edge. The paint is a little pricey, so I’m holding it for my home rather than for my rentals, but overall I’m very happy with this paint and would absolutely do this project again.
