Ok
Great idea. Just trying to find he best point in the car/boot. Dog is safe, but not used to not being close to a person in the car. Other than that, great harness. Just my dog is annoying!

Can’t use seat belts
We can’t use the seat belts to attach this, as soon as weight is detected in the back seat the seat belt warnings go off and the only way of stopping that is to connect them to the proper sockets. So we are using the grab handles above the rear doors as the anchor points as stated in the instructions. Just hope we never have to find out if it works, just seems to me we are putting an awful lot of trust in those two little plastic handles to take the weight of a 38kg dog in flight in the event of an accident. On a good note I purchased this as ‘used, acceptable’ expecting it to be obviously second hand. Not a mark on it, well pleased at half the price of a brand new one.

A useful alternative to standard seatbelt attachments.
I had a new car, and had purchased some expensive custom-fit seat covers to stop my dog's hair from covering it like it had my husband's car. However, these car seat covers also covered the seatbelt fixing points, so I needed another way to secure the dog. This popped up on a random blog I read, and I decided to give it a go.It consists of a two inch thick stretch of nylon webbing fabric with S hooks at each end. These can hook on to seatbelts, like the picture shows, or on to the grab handles about the doors, which is what I did. I tightened it, and clipped it down using the clamp, and it has stayed secure so far. From this, you have what looks like a regular dog lead, which has a carabiner clip on one end. This clips on to the dog's harness or collar. We fasten it to our dog's harness, which has a clip on the top. The other end is a regular loop like you'd hold on a lead, which slides along the length of the nylon webbing. You can adjust the length of this, which allows the lead, and therefore the dog to move along the line.So far, I'm really impressed with it. My dog is secure, and the carabiner means she can't release herself by jumping on a button like she used to with the old seatbelt attachments. If she moves around a lot, the lead part gets twisted, which obviously decreases its length and makes it tricky to release, but not impossible. If you're looking for something different to the standard seatbelt fixing, this might be worth a go.

Stress free journeys at last!
After years of travelling down to Cornwall and constantly reaching back to untangle our GSD from his harness attachment which got tangled EVERY time he turned round I saw this and thought we would give it a go. Brilliant! Set up was very easy and I decided to attach the zip line via the handles and not around the seatbelts as can be done. I added another clip to the caribiner that was supplied so that the line could turn with the dog. Not once on the journey did I have to turn round and it made for a far less stressful journey. Though I do not feel that this would be as safe in a major smash as the other ways of attaching your dog to the back, the ones that clip directly into the seat belt clip,i do trust it enough to feel confident that it would still restrict his movement forward should a shunt happen. The other good thing with this is that the line that runs to the zip line has multiple adjustments, loops, built into the line so that it can be adjusted for large or small dogs and also when you need to take the dog out this line then doubles as the lead to walk the dog so there is no need to take an additional lead with you. Here is a link to the additional clip that I put on the caribiner so that it could turn with the dog.http://www.amazon.co.uk/Trigger-Lead-snap-hook-Medium/dp/B006JPC85A/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1407912190&sr=8-1&keywords=dog+clip

For the right car
Excellent idea for the right car, unfortunately my car was too small and the lead once shortened was just to thick and heavy,so had to return but still waiting for refund.

Works great
It’s easy to fit and use. After only a couple of uses my young springer spaniel understood that he can’t just jump out when I open the tailgate for him and now sits still till I’m ready for him 👍🏻

I tried so many things in the past but they ...
I tried so many things in the past but they didn't do the job without the dog getting his paw caught up in the straps that clicked into the seatbelt clasp. I was able to fasten the Kurgo Tether line to handles each side of the car, which is a saloon, and suspend the lead from the line. This gives the dog the option to walk along the seat, sit stand or lie. The same would apply if fastened as the diagram suggests, giving the dog the maximum comfort.

Provides Security for Passenger and Driver
I have attached the ends to the handgrips in the rear of my car and although it's too long it's easy enough to tuck the excess length away. The end of the lead fastener runs smoothly across the zip line and allows the dog to move about freely within the confines of the rear seat only and to lie down without the lead interfering. I have the lead attached to a harness and my dog seems to be less nervous when travelling and I know she's secure.
