I shouldn't have waited to get me one of these, this thing is awesome!
I've always wanted to get one of these to make my life easier and I finally decided to get one. I do a lot of wiring in finished houses and having this makes it so much easier. I use cable snakes to run the wires through but actually being able to see inside the wall makes it 10x easier! You are able to see all the obstacles and the best way through and what the wire could be getting caught on. The whole thing comes in a nice hard zip-up case. There is an LED light that is adjustable with the turn of a knob on the side of the unit, it can be turned off or turned all the way up to be super bright. Having it on full the end does get hot, not enough to burn you but still pretty hot. The image says it is 1080p but it doesn't look that good of quality, changing the setting from lower quality to higher doesn't seem to make that much of a difference. You are still able to see fairly good but it doesn't look HD quality. The other end of the cable is just a USB that plugs into the unit. The cable is rigid and you can bend it which ever way you want. You can screw on 3 different attachments; a hook, magnet and a mirror. The magnet is tiny but decently powerful to be able to pull back items. I don't really see the purpose of the mirror, I guess to see something on the side down a pipe or something. I don't know how you could measure with it and it's also a little difficult to see with it. I also had to take off a tiny blue protective plastic that was on it. I love the fact that you can record video and take pictures and that it comes with an 8GB micro sd card. It comes with a USB cable to charge it but not a charger, which is fine because I have lots of USB chargers. It has a super easy to use interface. You can rotate the image around so you don't have to twist the cable to get the image right. Overall I shouldn't have waited to get me one of these, the possibilities are endless.Pros:Easy to use interfaceAdjustable LED brightness (can get super bright)Easily record video or take picturesComes with micro sd cardComes with hard caseComes with attachments (hook, magnet, mirror)Cons:Not the best image quality but still goodCamera end can get hot

be clear on what you are buying: A very clear camera the size of an eraser tip
There are a lot of pros and cons here.Let me sum it up. this device is really good at being a 1/4" diameter (Mini/tiny camera) with a very good extreme close-up.Con: The cord comes coiled-up so it retains its "bunched-up cord" shape. Maybe I should put a book or some kind of object on it and straighten it out. Anyway that ties into the next point:2) It is good for going in a straight line, (that can tolerate some bunched-up cord), like jamming it down a storm drain in the sidewalk, on a straight run of pipe but not really good for curving pipe. For example I tried to see in my shower "U trap" but couldnt. I tried to stick it in the "S" shape of the toilet, but I couldnt stick it in past the first turn.3) Pro: It is a very good camera. It shines bright, sees clearly and is very good. The hand held device is amazing! Really high quality.... Actually amazing at exactly what they describe it: a camera a the end of a long coiled wire.4) Con: The camera is the size of pencil eraser tip. It is like staring really intensely into your pupil. you can see that 1/4" really well but dont intend to see the entire "Big" picture. For example I stuck it into the shower drain and I saw an extreme close up of the pipe. So I was like, "where is it clogged?", and all I saw was Cast Iron pipe, but really extremely close... so that didnt help much..so I would not use this to see where the clog is in your pipe.Maybe it has other, better uses, like looking into your gutters, or spying on your neighbors, etc, etc..Good luck, but I warned you. So buyer beware, or as they say in Latin: "Caveat Emptur"

No way to keep the camera in the middle of the pipe
We have not been able to keep the camera in the middle of the sewer pipe on our RV so unable to keep the sludge off of it to see with the camera. Going to try and find a way to attach something to keep it centered, Not sure how that will work without losing the camera off the line. will try to update when we figure this out. Looking at camera when not is the pipe picture is clear and everything works well. Just not inside the pipe

Good, with caveats
It works well for some things. I bought it to scope a decayed 2-inch drain pipe about 20 feed in, so I put the camera and cable inside a 1/2-inch ID reinforced plastic tube for stiffness (I'll try to add a photo). With some practice, it worked pretty well. Focus was hit & miss. The 90-degree attachment was a disappointment -- all that gets displayed is a blob of light. Other than that, it gave me enough information that I saved the hassle and expense of having a plumber scope it. It was worth the money, even if that's the only time I ever use it. I imagine it's easier to work with in a dry, more controlled environment like inside a wall or an engine compartment. Functionally, the unit worked great -- very easy to use with a live image. I didn't try recording video or taking pictures with it.

It works as advertized even under water
My wife and I build custom homes and have always put our customer's needs a head of just building a house to make a profit. I ordered the camera originally to locate a water leak in the wall of a bathroom. Over the next 12 months I used it occasionally for a multitude of different construction reasons. It always worked flawlessly but when I went to use it the last time, month 13, it did not work; it was out of warranty by about 1 month. In this day and age of subpar customer service and the lack of making things right, even if legally there is no need to do so, it is rare to find a company that stands behind their products even if they are out of warranty. I will be looking to them in the future and they will be my first choice for products that they sell that I might need. I have no problem in recommending their products in the future to my customers and subcontractors.
