Very Cheap plastic, felt very flimsy, didn’t come with batteries, returned without testing it
Felt very very flimsy like a $1 kids toy. Didn’t feel at all water safe, and Didn’t come with batteries so I didn’t bother testing it. I returned and ordered a different brand that wasn’t that much more in cost and the quality difference was immediately obvious. I use the one I have now daily for specialty teas and infusions that need diff water temps to steep from boiling to tepid. 30 days and going and love it, I do not regret returning this product.

Unit came without battery, had to buy 3 battery pack for $7 from Home Depot. Used for water temperature setting, poor quality water got in glass
