Did the Job
I got these to replace the one on my SentrySafe. Works great. You do need to keep the upper end clip off of the OME strut and put it on the new one as it is slightly smaller and will not rub the inside of the safe. It just screws on so not a big deal.

perfect replacement for sentry safe QAP1BE
The Sentry Safe Biometric Gun Safe for Handgun, Fingerprint Gun Safe with Interior Light, 1 Handgun Capacity, Firearm Storage with Bolt Down Kit, QAP1BE has one flaw. The piston stops working after about 3 to 4 years. This piston works perfectly. all you have to do is undo the bottom bolt. release the piston. pull the clip back on the top connector and remove old piston. next unscrew the ends off the old piston and put on new piston (don't forget to put the spring back on the new piston prior to attaching the ends from the old piston.. attach bottom first. the push top on and push clip back on. PERFECT FIT

The media could not be loaded. The original strut went out after a year. This comes with two and was easy to install. Just needed 13mm wrench, 5/16 socket, and screw driver.Note your twist off the heads from the original strut to put on the new one. No issues since they twist right off.

Gas Strut for sentry, pistol safe
This is the right Strut for the sentry pistol safe. It is just the right length and strength to make the lid work perfectly. I have tried others but none have worked as well.

Better than the original struts.
My Sentry Safe pistol safe struts failed after about 4 years, so I thought I'd give Amazon struts a try. These struts were identical to the ones that came on it with one exception these new ones are rated for 25lbs. The original ones might have been 20 lbs. Or less. Well let's see if they hold up for the long haul.:)
