Product Description Natures Aid 5-HTP Complex provides 100 mg of L-5HTP in each tablet. The complex also cotains 100 mg Avena Sativa alongside Niacin, Folic acid and vitamins B6, B12 and D3.Niacin and vitamin B12 support normal function of the nervous system.Normal psychological function is supported by niacin, folic acid and vitamin B6.Vitamin B5 helps to support normal mental performance and the synthesis and metabolism of some neurotransmitters.Folic acid, B6 and B12 also help to reduce tiredness and fatigue.Available in two sizes: 30 tablets and 60 tablets. Indications 5-HTP should not be taken with anti-depressants, migraine medication, Parkinson's Disease drugs, weight control drugs, other serotonin-modifying agents or substances known to cause liver damage. Should be avoided by those with Ischemic Heart disease. Should not be used during pregnancy or whilst breast feeding. Can cause drowsiness; do not drive or operate machinery if affected.

Great for both depression and anxiety, I highly recommend that you try these
This is the best natural treatment for both anxiety and depression I've ever had and just as effective as the anti-depressants (Manerix/Moclobemide) I was on for years till they became unavailable. Unlike the anti-depressants my doctor tried to move me onto, they have absolutely no side effects. They're a good price too as I used to have the prescription anti-depressants and have to buy Avena Sativa drops to treat the anxiety - this is both together for less than I was paying for the Avena drops alone.

Very gentle effect..
Very subtle effect on me, anxiety diminished but not totally disappeared, makes me tired somehow, or better said calmer, all this in a very subtle and gentle way. I definitely noticed less food gravings and fridge picking in between, as if the interest in eating just for the sake of it disappeared completely. So that's good! Interesting how the effects are different for everyone so I guess one must try and see...

Ingredients changed
Having bought these before, I ordered again, but didn't realise the magnesium had been taken out. I contacted the company, who said they had made people aware the magnesium had been taken out. Also the size had been altered, making them difficult to cut up. This totally messed up my doseage I had perfected. Naturesaid did not respond to my second email. I spent all that money on tablets I can't take. Had I been aware of the change in the tablets, I wouldn't have ordered. I didn't sleep properly for weeks.I have found the old kind at home, but don't know what to buy when these run out.

Happily helpful, and convenient!
They work well for me in alleviating depression. I was on fluoxetine before, and I slowly changed from that to 5HTP by building up (not with this product as I used 50mg) as I slowly reduced the fluoxetine. I take 200mg of these now, which saves me having to take Magnesium and B complex as extras and I've done really well on them. 5HTP may not be for everyone, so read up before you take a leap into using them for depression.

It’s changed!!!
Just wondering if the supply I received today is still the usual quality product, as the bottle labelling is different and the tablets are different from usual. I’m worried they’re fake! Or has Natures Aid changed this product recently????????
